[ROM] TWO roms?? This guy's crazy!

ok im running the Blurry patch now through ROM Manager. I have never done it this way before...but this takes care of doing everything right? It didnt give me an option to delete data or cache or mount system.

ok...so i have finished getting the update and installed it...the phone seems to be downloading my apps from the market itself. I dont remember it doing this before...maybe thats why i had the never ending sync??? Think ill let this go for awhile and see what it adds back by itself. I guess if i need to i can run titanium to install the remainder...but no system apps =)

Does anyone else have the issue that the physical search button doesnt do anything anymore? If I hold down, I can do a voice search, but a quick click does nothing. did i just miss one of the google apps to install from the market?

Sorry, I misspoke.

When I go to Bootstrap> reboot to clockwork recovery> mounts and storage>
Data and Cache are already mounted (options are to UNmount for both)...

Which is why I remembered that they were mounted, when I followed the directions, and mounted system. Sorry for the confusion.

Are yours not mounted by default then? or were you manually unmounting them for some reason?

Edit: Also, which version were you installing from SDCard with? the Focused0.5PATCHED? or just 0.5.
If it's patched.. I may have to do some more testing. The install scripts were written and tested specifically through ROM Manager... I don't believe I've even tested them via install from recovery :S

I installed the 0.5. I didnt know there was a patched version.

yes, have to install google search from the market. the next release i'm going to add google search, BACK in, as it seems people are having trouble with them. It'll be easier to just include with the rom, and have a barebones version as well

Maybe.. and yes, that's what I do Market backup/restore and titanium for the remainder.

I'm wanting to test this rom. Currently I'm on flyx. Looking at rubix 3 as my choice since I want some of the blur features for fb contacts. My question is this... The posts above seem to indicate theses roms work with rom manager for install. Is this accurate? I want to make sure before I jump in, being this isn't the og droid... If not recovery install isn't a big deal either.

ROM Manager working great. shouldn't have a problem.

Honestly, I think 99% of the problems reported with this ROM, are because people have restored stuff with Titanium backup...

Stay away from Titanium, and you should be ok.

AND, I remember you posting that you've had reboots Drod. I'm telling ya, stop restoring with Titanium.. grr. And for the love of all that is rubiX, please don't suggest it to anyone.. like 90% of the issues in the thread are caused by it. :S

Search issues fixed on PATCHED version, if you check the box for the Search Patch.
If you don't have the PATCHED version, then install the patch, link from this post:

RM will do a complete install. If you're already on Blurry, you can skip the /data wipe, I'd still wipe cache tho.
