[ROM] VZW_2.4.5 - Stars Wars, No Star Wars, Clean & Super Clean

So far this is what I have experienced... consider me a tester for ya MotaBoy.

I've installed this on three phones. Every experience was different.

One lost the ability to do Facebook via Motoblur. A factory reset seemed to fix that. Also, seems like the factory reset fixed the C3PO pic issue too. My plan moving forward is to do the install, as you say, step by step but do a factory reset (and phone reactivation) right after a confirmed successful install. Seems to work wonders. Just an FYI. If my theory is correct I think it also fixed the battery issue. I have yet to see that come back. Just my experience so far. Where are my black bar installs Mister!

Thanks for all this. This phone runs squeaky clean. If anyone is having weird issues just post and I'll let you know what I know. You da man MotaBoy!

Thanks man, I always do a factory reset too and had it in the istructions at first but took them out since people will do what they want to do anyways. I am going to add it in there. I do not have the battery manger issue either and thought I was just that good ;) Might be safe to guess that doing a factory reset clears it. The way boostrap or the newer ROMs install is weird. I have noticed different patterns too. I have the installer delete everything from system but that does not help that much either.

What went different with each install?

Black bar themes are coming...if you want to test then try the 2.4.0 themes...they should work.

I am working on a Super Clean SE ROM that should make many users happy ;) Might be a first with ROMs and the D2 (cough cough cough android contacts cough cough cough dialer cough cough cough) so the themes are on hold for now and I need my phone to be used as it was intended for during the next few hours, no not to hack it but actually use it as a phone :)

clarification...

those of use who have the R2 should still hold off on this because there's not a .sbf available? is this the only reason?

The only and biggest reason so far. If your phone is bricked then you can not go back to stock. Also it has not been tested yet on a R2-D2 Droid2

Yup - if things go south, you don't have a reliable SBF option to recover.

If you get stuck a Moto logo you likely won't be able to get into Clockwork recovery so you won't be able to get your backup restored.

well, i'm rooted and strapped. now just waiting on whoever whips that .sbf out first. (DevMan)

I'm full of questions today...

-so no one has successfully installed this on their R2?
-the regular D2 should be getting an updated system version, right?
or is there always gonna be 2 system version for the D2?
-is there going to have to be an .sbf written for every system version?

Not that I know of
I wouldn't say soon but there has to be one in the works, even if it is for the different bootloader.
Yes, there will always be two system versions for the D2, 3 with the D2 Global coming.
It depends on what they do with the bootloader for the different SBF files.

Meant to put a smiley there. :)

Oh yeah...so I was messing around with ROM after I flashed my version on last night. I went to check battery manager and it was working. So I was like this has to be a fluke. Rebooted...still working...whatever I did it was still working. So I was like guess I got lucky of fixed it some how in my personal version. When you posted about doing a hard reset from within Android it clicked that's what I did so I guess that it is why it works. You are running the Full ROM with Blur? Where is CP showing up for you? In messages and in contacts?

droidieang for gmail chat if you are on.
