[ROM] Zen-MIUI v2 Android 2.2 + MIUI

thanks...did that in terminal..will see how it goes. Is it necessary to type reboot line after that?

lol..nah man..it aint like that. It was really helpful. I did it on my girls phone too. So far home screen snaps right back.

I just typed reboot in the line below anyway, just to be sure...not going to hurt either way, even if I didnt need to. :)

Ive noticed even in long sessions in the browser it snaps back. It has it moments still where it lags but man does it eliminate most of it.

Thanks to All

I found something you all haven't found yet... ha ha ha... *evil laugh*...

If you swipe a contact, message, or message thread, the option to Delete is shown! Swipe again to hide it.

How awesome is that?

Very. Great find.

Type into terminal emulator

su

echo ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1 >> /data/local.prop

reboot

This will drastically reduce redraws.

This is what I did, thanks. And, I have almost no redraw issues now.

I am going to go ahead and add this to my install guide since it's linked to in the OP. Everyone might as well do this. It would be easy to add the local.prop to the AllInOneFixes file as well.

Im a little behind on this thread cuz for the most part things are running smooth for me, what is this redraw issue i keep reading about? Im not familliar with that term

Yep, but a quick q, would you then have to edit the updater-script file as well?

Also, forgive me if I missed this, after all this thread grows by at least 150 posts/day, but I was having a facebook sync problem. It seems as though alot are still having it as well(?). I have followed the whole OP, including your (publicanimal) 'allinone' fix. In your post linked in the OP it says it fixed Accountandsync problems. Does this include the facebook sync? Or is there still something to be worked out for a full facebook sync. I added a new friend in FB yesterday while running this rom, and although it was shown in the FB app, I couldn't for the life of me get it into my contacts; I select 'sync all' within FB.

I think adding the local.prop to the all in one zip is a great idea!

Star...Redraw is when you are surfing the web or something...or using an app, and press the home key, or go back to the home screen and none of your icons are there right away...nor widgets...and they GRADUALLY repopulate the homescreen (usually icons then widgets, they seem to repopulate slower than the icons do). Its laggy and slow. I havent been getting it yet after doing the local.prop method in terminal. It just pops right back to my homescreen and everything is there.

Does anybody know what XML color code im looking for to change VERIZON WIRELESS in status_bar.xml? I need to change it to white.
