[ROM] Zero Blur! Zero Lag! rubiX Focused 1.0

My gmail isn't syncing properly. I got the gmail app from the market, and I have already cleared data/cache in the manage applications settings. Normally I would be able to set the sync options in the My Accounts settings, but that's a blur item so I can see why it's not on the rom. What should I try next?

It should still let you modify the sync option in Settings > Accounts > *youremail*

Duh, silly me. That was it, thanks so much!! dancedroid

Thanks so much for this, Drod. For the first time I feel as if going from a rooted Droid to my rooted Droid X wasn't a step in the wrong direction. Thanks!

Speaking of overclocking does no one want to put that in their roms? Couldn't download this to my phone used my computer and everything is working great been using this for about 16hrs no hiccups! Will be donating soon just wish we had some overclocking going on so I would have to redo it everytime a new rom comes out!

well...here I go sounding n00by....

I'm running Tranquility ROM, any issues with installing this ROM over Tranquility? I assume the Wipe Data/Cache helps to prevent any issues. Then again...I hate assuming. Thanks!

Drod I have had no problems and love this ROM....wish people would follow your instructions.

Was glad to see that car dock files this am. Along the same line I founds that the dock home (for media station) isn't working. Is that a blur thing, forgot, or can i add it back in? If so, anyone have that file.

Keep up the great work

Just need to know what files are required...

Ok, ill take a look when I get home...if anyone happens to know tho that would be great...thanks

Is that dock tho a blur component??

Great ROM, have it running like a charm!

That Iron Man wallpaper is sweet, been looking everywhere for it where on earth did you find it?

Yes, you must wipe data/cache especially over Tranquility

Tried to install this rom getting stuck at the rubix screen at first time I let it go for about 20 mins. right now on 3 mins after battery pull any suggestions?

Anyone know of a theme that has the Dark Gray notification bar with blue signal/battery icons similar to Gala X theme, but still retains the AOSP lock screen?

Did you wipe data/cache?
nope its not in bootloop on the m screen so I might be able to get back to bootstrap and wipe from there and reinstall. Question is I have always gone thorugh rom manager how do I get bootstrap to come up

So, to confirm, all that's needed to get the car home back, is CarHomeLauncher.apk, and cardock.apk?

What I have is CarHomeLauncher.apk, and com.google.android.carhome-1.apk.(I had to dl and install it manually because market and appbrain didnt work for me, and thats what it was named when it was posted shortly after it was released.)

But yes, thats should be all that's needed.

Note: This is an UNOFFICIAL, UNSUPPORTED, and .. well, relatively untested patch to get CarHome working:
http://www.sephtin.com/rubiX/UNOFFICIAL-rubixFocused-PATCH-CarDock.zip

(Thanks to Sek0n for his solution).
The patch just puts CarHomeLauncher.apk, and com.google.android.carhome-1.apk in /system/app. I just installed, and tested, and it works for me.

Thank you for this. To get this to install do I do that from recovery and install from zip?
Thanks

I assume you are referring to this?
Droid X 2.2 Overclock is here - xda-developers

it could easily be made into an optional package.. but there are a couple problems:
--It's DEF. not for everyone. OC'ing can have SERIOUS side effects on the longevity of hardware, usually via heat, etc. It also directly affects stability, etc., which makes it a NIGHTMARE to try to support a ROM.
--Settings vary from device to device. One person reports only getting 1.15 at beast, and another 1.22 or so... It needs to be set by hand... so is a HORRIBLE idea to include in a ROM by default (in my opinion)...

If you want to OC, the option is there. Unless you're planning on rendering some video, or do some serious overworking of your CPU on the phone, OC'ing is a waste of time from the results I've seen on our phone. :(

(Also, I always cringe when people bring out linpack and quadrant to say "but see, it makes my phone faster!". I've seen Droid1's that were laggy as hell, and ran like crap with better quadrants than phones that ran perfectly smooth. Also, if you want a higher quadrant score, just enable stagefright in build.prop. Quadrant will go up around 300-500 points.. your videos won't play, but.. you'll have great quadrant scores!

Sorry for the mini-rant. This is a call to be made by DRod, but this is certainly something that I hope does not make it into a ROM.

Just me?
