[ROM] Zero Blur! Zero Lag! rubiX Focused 1.0

Finally got this rom installed.
Should I not have the 2.2 gallery app?
Not a problem just wondering.

Thanks

Forgot to also ask how do
I get the Street View on Google Maps to update?
Its failing to update.

thanks again

Gallery: You should have the 3d gallery app that comes with Focused.

Street View:
Lazy paste from on of my previous posts:
--Street View on Google Maps app won't install.
Fix: Rename /system/app/street.apk, reboot, install Google Sreet View from market.

no service

first i installed incognito-red than the incognito red blur-less on top. after it rebooted i no longer have service. if i try to dial it force closes. any suggestions? thanks in advance.

Did you install the version of incognito that's listed in the second post of this thread? or some other version?

Follow the link from the second post in this thread to make sure that you're instlaling the one that was built FOR Focused.

If that doesn't fix, you may need to reinstall Focused.. just don't wipe data/cache this time. Then reinstall theme, and make sure it's one that's specifically for Focused (second post has a list).

it was the one from the second post. i will try the reinstall of focused. i'm backing everything up right now. if the reinstall doesn't work i'm going to try a factory reset.

Uhmm, keeping in mind that factory reset only deletes data and cache (not the system partition, which is where the ROM is stored.. and where themes get installed to as well...)... it probably won't fix it...
the way to actually get back to factory, is to revert via .sbf...

But yea, sounds like a solid plan. I'd reinstall Focused without clearing data/cache, and see if that fixes.. it should. GL!

Can you help me understand why every time I reboot I get stuck at the M screen?
I hear the device bootup in the background but all that is visual is the M.

What I have to do is pull the battery and wait a bit...
Then I boot up into my device.

Now when I power off and on I seem to be good...
Anything I can do to fix this?

Weird.. have not experienced this...
Have you tried replacing the boot animation at all? (The rubiX one, not the M)...
Also, sounds like it **could** be something in data or cache causing it?? I would take a nandroid, and see if wiping data/cache solves it.. if so, then just reconfig things, and you're reboot periodically after any big changes to see if it comes back...
Worst case, you can always just go back to your nandroid backup...

someone who prefers the stock 3g hotspot from moto over wifi tether because it supports AP and not just ad-hoc.. try this version:

extract it from the zip and install as any app

if it works, i will include this from now on.

Trying it now, will report back.

Ummm installed fine, but it is just the Wireless Tether for Root users from the market. Am I missing something?

From his post:

I believe he'd like to verify it does AP, rather than ad-hoc.. ?

Very pleased with the battery life. At 40% right now on ext battery with incognito red theme and hourly twitter updates. I do keep wifi off when at work. The above pic is with some surf and a few phone calls, one lasting almost an hour. I did just try the tweeks posted back a few pages so we'll see where that goes.

All I need is a clipboard to paste stuff in text/web and I well be all set.

I looked around market but didn't find that. May give it a try. Thanks.
