[HACKS] Root Droid 1 - regardless of OS version

I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight. My issue is this, when I get to the bootloader and bring up RSD it says:
Model
SE Fash OMAP3430 MI
Port Type
USB
IMEI/ESN/MEID
N/A
Status
Connected
Just want to know if this is how it should look or am I doing something worng?

So I am successfully rooted if I havethe superuser permissions icon (grey android in shape of X correct?)

yup that means you're rooted. some apps that require root permission are drocap2 which lets you take pics of your screen. Also setcpu to overclock, etc. But yeah, you can check that link in Fur's sig to explain what to do now that you're rooted.

Download terminal emulator, run it, and type su. If you get a permissions request and/or the icon changes to a # you're rooted.

Simply having the SU icon doesn't mean you're rooted, as we found out with the first FroYo leak. In this case, however, if you see that you're rooted. Find out anyway. :)

I believe mine said the same thing; it never said "Droid" as what it was connected to, so I just went with it and everything worked. My most confusing moment was restarting while in bootloader; I didn't realize all you have to do is press the power button. I was looking for a command like in SPRecovery or something.

You may want to post in the custom roms section.
After you rooted was everything working?
if it was you may have to reflash the rom.

The dropbox links in the original post no longer seem to be working. Does anyone know of an alternative place to download the same files?
