rubiX Focused 1.6

Sorry to double post, but I just installed the updated zip file with the stock voltage settings and already have a question. I forgot to wipe my data/cache which isn't a big deal, but there's an ADW issue since I was running it on 1.0 before it was incorporated into 1.6. It asks me to choose between com.android.launcher and org.adw.launcher. Which do I need to select to continue to get the market updates?

Rename /system/app/ADWLauncher.apk to ADWLauncher.bak, and reboot.

Seems to have worked. Thanks.

Is it only me or after I install rubiX my X doesn't detect USB connection anymore. No Charge Only, No Storage Only, Windows Sync. It cannot even charged with USB connected to computer anymore.

Have not had this problem, but have heard of others having this issue. Here's the first thing to try:

Download the latest drivers from Moto (currently 4.7.1):
Note: The link is ALMOST impossible to find on the below page, you are looking for "Motorola 4.7.1 Driver with MotoConnect*". click it for download:
USB and PC Charging Drivers - Motorola, Inc. USA

This hopefully will fix, post if not... :)

I am not trying to be rude here but why pay to use VVM? Google Voice can be used to take care of your voice-mail, even without a Gvoice number, and not only will it allow you to playback your voice mail from within the GVoice app you can also access your voice-mail from voice.google.com on your computer. Oh and the Google voice app will even transcribe the messages for you all this and its friggin free!

IMHO Google Voice is much much better than VVM

I also have a Google voice account, will the VM's be separated in some way?
Will callers who call my cell hear my Verizon VM greeting or my Google voice greeting?

Under "Settings --> Call Settins --> Voicemail service"

You will find the option to choose what service you want to use if you choose "Google Voice" your phone will use only Google Voice's voicemail.. So when someone calls they will be sent directly to your google voice account when they go to VM and nothing else.

Sorry, not trying to be dense here. So if I use GV for VVM on my VZW phone, will it have the same greeting as someone who calls my GV number directly?

I believe so, not 100% sure if you can change the greeting by the number DIALED.. I know you can change it by the number they're calling FROM (who's calling)...

reserved for bugs

Compass Calibrate still does not work
Nor does 3G HotSpot

stock volt patch
http://bit.ly/bs58qw

ONLY RUN THIS PATCH IF YOU DOWNLOADED BEFORE 12:51 PM EST ON NOVEMBER 1ST, it is updated in the rom and not needed if downloaded after

Still getting syntax error when trying to apply volt patch....Once I'm booted I'm using JRummy's OC app but it's kind of a pain having to reset everytime I boot

Should I be ok to load the whole ROM again with out wipe to get the stock voltage on my DX?

I have downloaded but no luck yet. I used to charge/ use as mass storage media fine before. but only after I install the custom ROM it stopped working. Probably Root problem instead of custom ROM.but I don't know at this point now.

Will yahoo mail work in 1.6? U need the paid yahoo mail account to work on 1.0...

For those that needed to install the stock voltages, you might want to try these settings for undervolt and slight overclock. I've done some extensive testing and this seems to be stable even for my phone that doesn't like to be messed with:

300/27
600/32
800/40
1150/56
