rubiX Focused 1.6

is anyone else having trouble with wi fi. my wi fi tether works but my toggle isn't. keeps saying obtaining ip adress.....diconnected....scanning......

OK, so I've been on Rubix since .3 I've tried a couple of the other ROMS, but this one just *works*. I recently took a day trip to Rubix Blurry 1.0, but in the end, I'm back on Focused.
So, there are just a few small issues that I would like to work out with Focused. One is a preference issue: I don't like the 'Slide to Answer' functionality of Phone.apk. I prefer the 'Button' approach of BlurPhone.apk. Of course, we can't put BlurPhone on focused, so I found this:
Incoming Call Plus BETA - Android app on AppBrain

It replicates the button approach (and adds SMS reject notifications). It's not quite as 'Clean' looking as the Blur version, but it does work.

Just thought I would share

contact ?

I am new to rubiX rom.....is there any way to link contacts together, for some reason there is double contacts for some people....one for the google contact and another as a facebook contact, is there any way to merge them together like on the stock phone? I love this ROM so far, but this is very annoying....any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I miss the link function in contacts as well.

I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but when you edit a contact and press the menu button is "Join" not what you're looking for?

This has been reported previosuly.. I bet the AP you're connecting to has a hidden SSID, right? This issue can be replicated on stock as well in some cases...

Ya know.. I wonder if that could be themed to look like the stock answer screen... ?
Have you tried opening it up and looking at the images? :)
(If you want more info, send me an email or PM... might be funt o try.. ;)

Fonts

Great rom, I have a problem seeing the font though. Could you please post a link for a bolder or even the stock font? I'd really appreciate it.

As a matter of fact, I did think about themeing it ;)
I took the button images out of BlurPhone, renamed them to match the ones used by IncomingCall, put them back into the apk and re-signed it (BTW, I now know how to re-sign APK's :))

However, the images are .9.png's ... which basically means they get resized. Thus, my "new" buttons ended up the same size as before, just a slightly different color. I'm sure there is an xml file in there that could be changed, but that's a bit over my head.

Yup looks like the join feature is what we needed. I didn't notice that before.

Does anyone how to change the font through root explorer. I need bolder or larger font.

Download "Type Fresh" from the market. It allows you to change the font. I'm using "Comfortaa Regular" which can be found with a google search. Download the font you want and put place it in the folder labeled "Fonts" on your SD card. Then open Type Fresh and click DroidSans.ttf and choose the font you want from the list then hit menu then "Apply Fonts" and reboot. Hope that helps.

Hopefully you guys can help me.
This is what I did:

I already had Rubix 1.0 installed and really liked it.
So I backed that up. Booted into clockwork recovery and installed rubix 1.6. i formatted cache but not data.
That didn't work, stuck in a bootloop.
So i booted into stock recovery(holding home on boot) and formatted data.

But I'm still stuck in a bootloop on the rubix cube. How can I recover this?

Pull out the battery wait for >5 mins, power up, you should go back bootstrap recovery. rubix 1.6 and 1.0 is very different so you should wipe system/data/cache, mount system/data then install rubix 1.6 (I know the whole thing is not necessary but I do it just to be on safer side). You can always restore the user apps from previous backup using titanium.
