No...Drod forgot to edit that one line of text which states the version number from 1.8.6 to 1.8.9, that is all...if you installed 1.8.9 and you aren't having any issues, there's no need to worry. with the massive amount of people questioning this again and again, I'm sure he won't forget to change it with the next update

The ONLY difference between the FRAMEWORK in 1.8.6, and 1.8.9 are the transitions. You can safely use ANY 1.8.6 theme to have a theme, and not have the transitions.

yes i realize that but the only themes i could really find for 1.8.6 were the juice ones. i just want it to look stock vanilla? how would i grab the framework form rubix 1.8.6? can i take the old framework out of the zip and overwrite it in the 1.8.9 then reinstall 1.8.9 with the old framwork?

I'm rather confused about what I should be installing and what I shouldn't be installing it.

1. Not sure if I had the leak or not, I installed 1.8.9. I moved the zip over to my phone, went into clockworkrecovery, wiped cache, installed from .zip and then I installed the Black Juice theme for 1.8.9. When I booted into my phone and checked the system info heres what I get:

System Version: 2.3.20.MB810.Verizon.en.US
Android Version: 2.2.1
Baseband Version: BP_C_01.09.07P
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9-ga42712ew30471@il93lnxdroid08#1
Build Number: rubiX Focused 1.8.6


So confused >.< Did I do something wrong?


2. When connect my phone to my computer through the Micro USB cord, I don't get the USB ongoing notification anymore. I can't sync..anything anymore >.< Can someone help me with this?

1) This has been answered a few times before. You're fine... the ROM doesn't have the updated version number in the build.prop file.
2) First thing to try is to reboot both phone and computer, and make sure computer has the most updated USB drivers.
Others have reported this issue with varying success getting it working again.. Honestly, wish I had paid closer attention to what's happening with this.

I'm always calm. Takes a lot to actually anger me. I'm still just as annoyed with people not reading but obviously I'm wasting time and energy by getting worked up about it in any way since less than a page later it is done again.

Do you have winamp installed? by some strange chance?
(or was that the issue, where no matter what, it mounts USB.. *sigh*.. again, sorry, I need to go through a few threads, and put together some info on this one. :S

I just installed rubiX Focused 1.8.9, but when I go into the about phone page thing, it says it's version 1.8.6.

Is this bad? Do I have a virus?
