rubiX Focused 1.8.9/1.9.3

I got the phone today brand spankin new. Rooted it and installed clockwork and bootstrap. Installed rubix, wiped cache and data. Then I grabbed this theme flavored ice-Dar Berry which states it for rubix 1.8.9. That was it.

Awesome detail! Thanks!
That rules out most of the things I can think of.. only a couple things .. off the top of my head...

When you installed the them, did you boot into Focused first, and let everything sync, etc. before installing the theme? Or did you do one right after the other. I've heard of this causing issues.

Either way, since the theme is the only change, if you want to try to troubleshoot... one thing that might be worth trying:
--Install Focused 1.8.9 again, wipe cache but not data.. and don't load the theme, and see if you still get the reboots.

Last question I can come up with.. any specific time it's rebooting? As in, at the lock screen, or when using a specific app, or when you get a txt, or (??).

Septhin I don't believe it's the rom. I think its the phone. I went back to stock and it was still rebooting. I also sbf'd just to make sure and same thing. So I called VZ to send another one. The tech did say there were some data issues when trying to activate the phone. I just activated it again so I shall see what happens.

Am stuck on The Rubix Logo. I was on Rubix 1.89 then I was messing around w/phone a lil bit so I decided to load the stock rom back. It loaded up fine. I attempted to load Rubix 1.93 and decided not to wipe (Stupid mistake) and now am stuck on Rubix boot loop. Can someone assist me in loading into Recovery when DX is powered off please. I hope no one mentions SBF. I have no clue how to even begin that process:(

Thanks for the answer, a rude comment plus answer is still better than nothing. AHAH

Its more rude to not be bothered to take the time to read and search the thread with the search feature. This has been answered countless times.

What's funny is that before this question was asked I never even looked in the about phone section...

Oh no... you loaded 1.9.3? This version was for people with the leaked update only.... I think sbf is your only option unless you can boot into recovery and load a backup.

Regarding Fission and RubiX

I have had both fission 2.2.1 and RubiX and to be honest fission was much more stable and smoother but it was too bland for me. I saw the cube animated and could not resist the switch AHAHA I mean it was exactly what I was looking for not bland, but the tradeoff is it is not as smooth as fission. I am not ReFormatting my phone RubiX it is!

Oh, I think you hold power and up or down on the volume. I've never had to do it but I know it can be done using those two buttons.

It's power plus menu, but that won't help you restore a backup. It will boot into Android recovery, not Clockwork recovery.

First thing to try, is to wipe data and cache from the android recovery (NOT clockwork recovery.. as.. most liklely you can't get to clockwork recovery.

Easiest way:
--Battery Pull
--When you put the battery back in, hold down the home button the phone.
--As it powers up, let go of the home button when you see the M logo.
--It should go into android recovery. When you see the little droid with the ! in a triangle, hit the search button.
--From the menu, wipe data and cache, then reboot.. it should take you into Focused...

When you get back in.. the FIRST thing I suggest, is to reload 1.8.9.. as it sounds like you do not have the TBH leak (If you don't have it, you probably don't want it)...
PLEASE read the first post, that talks about the differences between 1.8.9, and 1.9.3...

Since you will have already wiped data and cache, you shouldn't need to when loading 1.8.9.. if you have troubles with loading it, just wipe data/cache again...

HTH!

DC is right...Looks like I forced myself to get familiar w/SBF..Can someone direct me to SBF 2.2 file please and possibly instructions...Damn this sucks:(

If (and only if) the above doesn't work...
Files for .sbf on rootzwiki dot com

Info on .sbfing here:

Hey Seph, I think I actually do have the TBH leak D/L .is it the Blur 2.3.320 system 2.2.1 File? 142MB..It was originally posted here and d/l it From mediafire.com? I was actually thinking of SBFn it in instead of the 2.2 file. Is it that simple or Just load the 2.2 sbf file?

If you have that 2.3.320 leak, you can't .sbf... unless you want to brick your phone. There's no way to go back.

There IS a /system ONLY .sbf, that you can use, from the TBH thread... that might fix you. It's not a FULL recovery, like the .sbf files for 2.3.15, and the original 2.1 build. give it a shot...

... Getting off track though.
Did you boot into the android recovery menu, and wipe data and cache first to try?? Good chance that's all you need to do, no .sbf required.. (?).
