rubiX Focused 1.8.9/1.9.3

I got the widget to drag finally. Thanks for the support.

Is anyone else on this rom synced to corporate exchange? On the stock froyo the contacts search would extend into the global list (GAL). With the focused, its just the local contacts list.

So.. what fixed it? (Please share, in case others end up having the same problem!)

And on Focused, the AOSP Email app doesn't search the GAL, more info here:
Unofficial – Known Issues List – Focused 1.8.6 — sephtin.com
specifically:
##Email.apk-
–After reading a message, can’t move it to another folder, the option is unavailable
–Sig. not being applied to replies, only new messages.
–Search (button) capability not functioning.
This is a limitation of the AOSP Email.apk. Until that package receives updates that resolve these issues, (or a suitable replacement is found), these issues will remain in Focused.

Ok guys..here is a question...underclocked/undervolted my phone last night to ULV 900 using Jrummys new app....worked great but am not seeing a battery improvement like I would have expected....reset battery stats after all night charge and this morning used the phone for a couple text messages, about an hour and half chat on Gtalk...battery shows 80% which is about 10% per hour....screen is the dimmest it will go......any suggestions? Just seems it should be better....

Actually, I wouldn't do a fresh install yet... I'd give it a couple days. I noticed that on the first day on 1.8.6 and 1.8.9 I saw about 10% an hour drain following a battery stats wipe... but on the second day on 1.8.6 I got 24 hours of battery. So far I'm on around 12 hours or so and at 70% today, which is day 2 on 1.8.9. Just be patient :)

Wow. I wouldn't have gotten the extended battery if I was seeing that. Are you underclocked or undervolted?

Anyone having OC issues with 2.3.32? I want my scaling undervolt/overclock settings back!

Suggestion: Read this thread, there is info on how to get it working.
Optional: Search Thread button near top of page may be your friend.

HTH!

for those who want the OLD Transitions back without applying a theme:

this worked for me....i downloaded both 1.8.6 and 1.8.9. then i copied the framework from 1.8.6 and overwrote (pasted) the framework in the 1.8.9 zip file. i then reflashed 1.8.9 on my phone without a wipe. now i have the old transitions working with launcher pro

Its a whole lot easier to go into menu then settings then screen and turn off animations or you could slow them down. I turned mine off and transitions are nearly instant.

Check my sig, I'm running 1 GHz at low voltage.

I am running Rubix 1.8.9 after a fresh SBF flash. I have SeePU++ installed so i can see my CPU usage. Anyone else notice that their kernel/system was using between 20% and 50% CPU on average? I've used other versions of rubix and never seen that. Might explain the high battery consumption too?

If you do this, you may take a slight performance hit, as your framework will no longer be zipaligned.

Stock framework files available here:

JRummy updated the app to work with 2.3.320.

Ok...I may have an answer to my own question....lemme run it past everyone and see if it floats....I did not set the ULV 900 to boot so I rebooted the phone so it would revert back to the original setting and observed the following freqs/ voltages:
300/27
600/38
800/49
1000/54

I redid the ULV 900 and the voltages were actually higher than those by 2 volts. So does that mean Drod built the ROM with already somewhat optimized or am I still doing something wrong with the app? I am learning alot though...I appreciate everyones patience with my questions.....at least I haven't asked about the version number... :-D

....

i am seeing battery drain issues but its a little weird to me.

last night it stayed at 80% from 1 am to 6 am.... but when i start using it, the battery drains 10% every 45 minutes to an hour.

im still working on different settings... but it should get better over time

Thanks Seph,
I dont know what made the diff wrt removing the widget. I tried everything suggested. It may have been that I wised up and grabbed it in the upper corner. I cant recreate either.

Thanks for the info on the gal. (i don't actually see the issue listed in the known issues list, but I take your word.) I will try the paid exchange app.

Thanks again for your support.

i'm on Exchange 2010 and yeah it doesn't look like i can search corporate address book.
i guess that's a blur feature?
touchdown is probably the best work around if it's not a bug.
