rubiX Focused 1.8.9/1.9.3

My settings menu is gone. From homescreen, pressing menu>settings does nothing, and settings icon is missing from the app drawer.
Only thing I did since yesterday was I made a backup then tried a new rom that I didn't care for, so I restored said backup to 1.9.3.
Any thoughts? Any help is appreciated thanks!

Ok, so I reinstalled the backup and that didn't help, the settings were still gone.
Then I reinstalled 1.9.3 (did not wipe data), and I'm back to "normal" again.

hey guys, I am new here. Been using rubix for a while now and love it. Before I ask this question I want you to know I have read every single page in this thread so don't bash me for not reading through just because the question may seem stupid.

Alright, I have NOT installed the leak of any type. I always stick with ota. So how come it says my system version is 2.3.20 instead of 2.3.15. I don't mind, just curious making sure I don't unknowingly have the leak and can't SBF.

I apologize ahead of time if this question is stupid.

Just did the sbf reset battery stats method on A cure for the Rubix 1.8.9 / 1.9.3 Battery drain? | The iDoctor and trying it out. So far so good. Even the transitions are way smoother now w/ launcherpro.

Will report back on after a couple days of regular use. Since I installed 1.8.9 when it came out, I was getting terrible battery life. I would unplug it from the charger at 8:00 in the morning and it would die completely by 5:00 PM with my more than average use.

Any word on how the battery life issue is coming?? I read the complete wipe option, but I'm hoping we'll get a better fix than that...

The battery thing is definitely being worked on. Just a little more patience.

Depends on your phone. Some can go to the max 1.45 on jrummys app, others can hardly do it at all. Droid x varies wildly in this respect. Mine can do 1.35 ULV before it starts to lock up.

As far as the battery issues, drod is aware and new rubix is currently being tested. Twitter says that test rubix is at 80% life after 5 hours of moderate use.

Indeed, I can confirm that after 3 hours of moderate usage battery life is at 90%... it seems like Drod's on the right track.
@Inkarnit...It seems as if your advice earlier to me to give it a couple of days on my battery proved correct. I unplugged from charger at 830ish this morning and have used my phone moderately during the day and I am sitting at 4.039 volts and 80% on my battery. I am well pleased with that...

Can you perhaps tell me if the voltages I am running are stock..

300/27
600/38
800/49
1000/54

The only reason I ask is I did try some ULV settings but the voltages were higher than these and I did not set them to boot so I figured when I rebooted the phone they went back to the same as when I first installed the ROM. I was under the impression that ULV would have dropped the voltages instead of raising them???

Can someone please confirm that this is normal and I can flash a full 2.3.15 sbf if needed?

I don't remember off the top of my head what the stock voltages are but I'm pretty sure it is 58 at 1000... It sounds like you set it to low voltages on boot. You can change it medium voltage and set it on boot to go back to stock. If it's running well at those voltages though, I'd leave it, especially if you're seeing good battery performance. Glad you've got better performance now :)

anyone else have funky animations when going from a launcher to an app. in app transitions are okay, just the ones coming from the home screen are odd...

What launcher?
ADW 1.3.x is known to mangle the animations a bit (1.2 comes with focused)...
As well as all versions of launcherpro...

If you're using either, you can disable the animations to make them consistent a couple ways:
--SpareParts app
--Any Focused 1.8.6 theme.

Hi, mkcm97, and welcome.

That's a totally valid question. The about phone screen says "Verzion.2.3.20.MB810.Verizon.en.US" because drod2169 used components from 2.3.20 to build the latest versions of rubix, so the build.prop file reflects that.

If you need to, you should be totally fine to flash the 2.3.15 sbf, as nothing in your bootloader has been changed by rubix, only some of the system files have been updated to system files from the base build.

You are safe to .sbf.
The version info was incorrectly set in the build.prop file when the ROM went out. Drod is aware... and from all of the wonderful feedback everyone has given him.. ;) I'm guessing won't happen again anytime soon.

I just d/l Rubix 1.9.3 and there is no dialer. Any suggestions?

Drod changed the name to phone not dialer. And if that's not there reinstall rubix without wiping data just cache.dancedroid

Any way to get the dialer from Tranquility 3.5 onto this rom?

No, it doesn't work properly.
tranquility dialer is based on Blur. Focused is AOSP... Blur dialer won't work with Focused framework.

Thats what I assumed, just confirming.
