rubiX Focused 1.8.9/1.9.3

hey guys, I am new here. Been using rubix for a while now and love it. Before I ask this question I want you to know I have read every single page in this thread so don't bash me for not reading through just because the question may seem stupid.

Alright, I have NOT installed the leak of any type. I always stick with ota. So how come it says my system version is 2.3.20 instead of 2.3.15. I don't mind, just curious making sure I don't unknowingly have the leak and can't SBF.

I apologize ahead of time if this question is stupid.

Can someone please confirm that this is normal and I can flash a full 2.3.15 sbf if needed?

You are safe to .sbf.
The version info was incorrectly set in the build.prop file when the ROM went out. Drod is aware... and from all of the wonderful feedback everyone has given him.. ;) I'm guessing won't happen again anytime soon.

Wait, it says its rubix 1.8.6 and I know I have 1.8.9. Maybe I did something wrong or my phone is messed up:)

edit:for those who can't tell, I'm kidding

O.o I'll let him know right away!

Yeah it's kind of funny, everytime I saw someone ask that, I would think to myself.(man inkarnit is going to rip that guy) lol. But seriously, I saw that asked atleas 25 times but I don't recall anything about the system version saying 2.3.20 on 1.8.9

I had a big problem getting recovery to work.. I'm not sure, but I think it's because I let google restore all of my apps. When I uninstalled bootstrap x recovery and reinstalled it.. it then worked... so whewwww.
i had problems getting recovery to boot... but if you go into rom manager and run "fix permissions' it should let you boot into recovery

This fixes pretty much any issues of not being able to reboot into recovery:
Help I've lost ClockWork recovery, my phone just reboots back into android

Ok, I don't have the transition animations that everyone is taking about. I know that I have 1.8.9, I checked in Terminal Emulator. I've tried ADW 1.2 & 1.3, LPP, and Launcher 2. I'm not complaining, because I don't even know if I'd like them. I just wanted to have it known that, for some reason, they didn't install.

Just did the sbf reset battery stats method on A cure for the Rubix 1.8.9 / 1.9.3 Battery drain? | The iDoctor and trying it out. So far so good. Even the transitions are way smoother now w/ launcherpro.

Will report back on after a couple days of regular use. Since I installed 1.8.9 when it came out, I was getting terrible battery life. I would unplug it from the charger at 8:00 in the morning and it would die completely by 5:00 PM with my more than average use.

I tried this and I'm still getting more battery drain then when I was on 1.8.6. I'm still getting high cpu use from ksoftirqd/0 . The only thing I haven't done is sbf. I've sbf'd in the past but not for this issue specifically. I wonder if Drod's fix will stop ksoftirqd from eating up cpu.

Did you install a theme after you installed Focused? If so, it probably pulled them out. Try re-installing Focused (don't wipe data/cache), and they should be there... when you switch between apps and stuff, you'll see them.

Definitely did not use any themes. I'll try reinstalling it anyway though. Will the animations show on Launcher 2?

The animations are the way the screen changes when you switch to, from, or between apps, screens, etc.
The animations should "show" regardless of the launcher... but LPP and the new ADW will both cause some issues when going from appdrawer to an app...

This is a bit off topic, but I have to say that other than the oddness with Drod's transition animations and the placement of the trash can on the top of the screen, the new version of ADW is pretty schweet.

anyone running the new ADW...Would you mind testing a live wallpaper and scroll through the app drawer for a bit. Im super picky with the app drawer smoothness and have not yet found the appropriate way to modify tranqlauncher to work with the aosp dialer
