rubiX Focused 1.8.9/1.9.3

Was it having problems recognizing the MTP USB Device?
I honestly don't know...im kinda new to all of this so I am having to learn as I go. When I would plug in my cable to the PC it would just do nothing...the phone wasn't showing up in device manager and nothing on the phone indicated it was connected to the PC except it would charge the battery. I am not sure where the "disconnect" was between Rubix versions 1.8.6 and 1.8.9 but it seems that once I got the PC to recognize the phone, it started working in all of my backups (themed or naked) including the one I made just before trying this. I have I was really at my wits end and was figuring I was gonna have to learn to SBF because I accidentally deleted my stock 2.2 backup. I am so glad this worked because I was doubting that RSD would recognize the phone to even allow me to SBF.

I hope you get yours to work and I wish I could offer more technical advice but all I got is alot of trial and error

Yeah, I have two Stock 2.2's that recognize it but none of my rom's recognize it I don't get it..

Thankfully I have two stock 2.2's that I should be able to falll back on if I ever want to willingly sbf

ok...big problem here...I .sbf'd and now I'm stuck in a bootloop??? giong to try and reflash right now...If it doesn't work, what then? I don't understand why it wouldn't work, I've .sbf'd several times without a hiccup...

Did you battery pull?
Indeed, that was the first thing I thought of... then booted into factory recovery, which wouldn't allow me to wipe...so I sbf'd again, and still the same story, so I downloaded another copy of the .sbf, flashed it>bootloop...but the Recovery allowed me to do a wipe. Rebooted after that and it worked fine....whew!

That happened to me when I installed Tranquility 3.5 on mine. Bootloop at the animation but I was able to get into recovery and wipe. Then she booted right up. I've had a few of those "OHSI" moments on my phone when I start to wonder if I can con the Verizon reps into replacing it but so far I've always managed to save it. I have the system .sbf for .320 so I have that to fall back on. Hopefully TBH releases the full sbf soon.

Glad to hear yours is running fine now. I love focused, just missing a few of the things I really like having such as 3G hotspot, HDMI and the blur dialer. Blurry always ran slow on my X for no good reason. No idea why... Anyway if Drod can get those 3 issues with Focused ironed out or at least just get HDMI support going then Focused will be THE premier ROM for the X. Problem is that likely means adding back in the blur gallery although you can have both galleries installed at the same time and only use the blur one when you want HDMI.

So far ive liked the rom, except ive had 2 main problems:
1. i cant get the mtp drivers to install. Ive had this problem since 1.6, and ive just about gone through every "fix", including: updating sdk packages, updating drivers, fixing permissions, etc.
2. I dont know why, but my widgets in launcher pro are WAY bigger. i feel like it has to do with the lcd density, but then again it could be all in my head.

Other than that, thank you devs for this awesome rom!

Why does my laptop recognize my DX and the desktop doesn't? I just changed out the graphics card and power supply. I did do an update on all drivers, I hope.

I can't get the MTP to install either =(

I had to manually install my mtp driver. Just google it and you should find it. I've had troubles with my drivers too, but thankfully every time I've sbf'd, my device has been found.

A question for those much smarter then myself.... l have been a big blurry Guy and thought I would give this a shot and see how much I like blurless. So far this beast is super fast but there are two items I miss. The blur calendar and the blue contacts/quick contacts Widgets. Is there any way I can pull these from the 2.3.320 leak myself and install them only? Thanks

Unfortunately, I don't think there's any way you'll be able to get these to run on any "Blurless" ROM, as they are far too tied into the who Blur framework/architecture.

anyone else have funky animations when going from a launcher to an app. in app transitions are okay, just the ones coming from the home screen are odd...
