rubiX Focused 1.8.9/1.9.3

I downloaded 1.8.9 from this thread and installed it over 2.2 flawlessly. However, now I have a question.

It says that my android version number is 2.2.1. Did 1.8.9 upgrade me to the leaked 2.2.1? If so, can I install 1.9.3 over top of it now?

Thanks in advance!

1. It's just a typo drod2169 forgot to change. To check to see if you indeed have it installed is to run a benchmark on quadrant and if you're getting scores in the 1000 range then you should have it. Doesn't reflect performance just the tweaks drod2169 did.

2. No... ;-D

That's what I figured. Drod did a great job getting rid of the redundant Verizon crap imo. Only thing I added back was maps and the voice search app on the last rom. Google navigation is great and I like voice to text ability. Besides that I missed nothing. My impatience is reaching frenzy levels though waiting for the new Rubix focused. Sitting on just a fresh install of this leak for two days now. Can't rush greatness but damn I'm like a kid on christmas eve.

I am pumped for the new version, I am hoping that it will fix the pesky battery drain issues...

On that note, I think that clearing the Dalvik cache, formatting the cache partition, then resetting the battery stats on a full charge seems to have helped. Though it honestly be my imagination.

How do I remove this Battery Icon/Notification from my Notification Bar? I've searched and have taken off any Battery related app and still can not figure this out. Is this something in the ROM itself?

This is NOT ROM-related. You're running an app that's putting that in your notification bar. Double check the settings of any system info app. I know that Quick System Info ninja-places a battery notification.

Yeah, I've never seen that battery notification before so it's definitely not anything built in. Something you're running is doing that.

Just gave this a shot. Will report back in a few days if 2.0's not out by then.

Thank you.

So far it is a little better. Down to 70% after 4.5 hours of listening to music and texting. I didn't get to try out the battery saver settings overnight yet.

hey guys, first off thanks for the rom, it's awesome. I updated to the leak tho and I just want to be sure I install right. Do I just format data and cache and install? Or do I need to format system, mount system also? Thanks.

Sorry to hear that.
Format and cache will do. Make certain you install the correct version for the leak (more info in first post).

hmmm, usually it will do that for me after a new rom install but only that once.

If it does that too often, i do a data reset and cache reset.

Maybe you can just wipe cache and see if that helps.

So by doing a Data Reset and Cache Reset does that mean I have to reinstall the ROM?

Also by doing a Caache wipe that does not mean that I have to reinstall anything right?

Thanks just asking questions because I have not done any of the wiping unless I am install a ROM.

And this is all done CW right?

Thank you again for everyones help!! :)
