rubiX Focused 1.8.9/1.9.3

Forgive me if this is already in the post, but is there an apk for the Froyo 3D gallery for 1.8.9? If so, can you point me in it's direction? Thanks!
The gallery in 1.8.9 IS the 3D gallery from Froyo...or did you mean you don't want the 3D gallery? Or am I just waaaay off here? ;)

It was the last one that was in the DX update. The videos thumbnails were scrollable for example.
I agree the gallery in 1.8.9 sucks. I can't view any videos and it sometimes lags after taking a photo.

No USB

Has anyone else had a problem with USB on this ROM? Earlier today my battery was dying and I could not charge with USB on my laptop or my work computer nor would they recognize the phone as a thumb drive. The phone itself did not see the connection either. However, when the phone was off it would charge from the PC. I flashed to 2.3.15 and then everything worked again. I am about to install the ROM a second time and I'll post an update.

Thanks!
*** EDIT***
Reinstall worked!

Yeah that app widget picked is great and good feature built into focused!! Now is there a stand alone app that puts contacts in alphabetical order like included in this rom? I like focused alot and keep going back but like to test drive other roms too but LOVE those 2 features!!

Go to your contacts -> click the 'opinion' physical button -> select display options -> select 'sort list by' in there you can also select to only display contacts with phone numbers.

Sent from my DROIDX using DroidForums App

Well yeah that puts that in alphabetic order but I mean how the rubiX rom has each contact startig with A under letter A etc..... and with cutmrren rom there is no option to have only contacts with numbers... just curious if there is an app that populates them like this...

Mayb im the only one but ive noticed when I try to play music and text, go on facebook, or even try to use the home screen(ADW) its really slow and laggy, almost not functional, then I get the .acore fc. I open up Advanced Task Manager and kill all other apps, and its still the same and keeps happening, and .acore, music and all other vital apps have a low set oom value. Any ideas?

Hmm I have no issues like this. I would highly recommend removing Advanced Task manager.

Yes. You are killing your system and your battery by running ANY task manager on Froyo.

I never had a problem charging, but I did have a problem getting the MTP USB Drivers to install on this and Fission. As such my computer was never able to recognize my device as a Droid X in PC Mode.

Flashing back to stock 2.2 allowed it to work for me though.

Recently I decided to flash Fab's newest Apex for 2.3.15, and it managed to recognize my phone! dancedroid

I'm not much for developing or any of this stuff but I almost feel like the complete removal of blur is what causes the USB problems some people have.

Not to take anything away from rubiX because it's an awesome ROM and I've logged the most time on it so far but anybody waiting for the newest update or wanting to try something new I heavily recommend the newest Apex build.

I strongly suspect that one of the problems with USB connecting is other apps. Not to say that the complete removal of Blur isn't a factor, but I know I was having issues connecting to my desktop yesterday and eventually realized the culprit was Winamp which was constantly trying to mount and un-mount the SD card. After removing Winamp, I was able to connect without problems. YMMV, of course.

Well, if it's comfort to anyone... Framework in 1.9 is quite a bit different, and USB.apk is also different version, so those with this issue will hopefully see some relief.. ? Assuming they could be contributing.. (?).

On another note, due to the framework being quite a bit different.. data/cache wipe highly highly recommended... Probably have issues if you don't in fact.

Poor Battery Life

Hey Drod, first gr8 work man .
I'd like bring something to your notice. the milestone app from market works for loading OC module then JRummy's script can be used. I am using ULV at stock freq and after 10h 48m of no use my battery went down from 100 to 50. My battery manager says cell standby 55%, wifi 19% phone idle 18% android os 7%, display 2%

It may contain "the visual bug" but still on ULV this battery performance seems very poor to me. What do you think

You have to give it time. The phone takes a while to rebuild the cache. Once everything is built back up properly, battery life will increase. It helps to not have things syncing in the background, as well. Kik messenger is known to be a huge detriment on battery life

Other suggestion:
Charge the battery to 100% (overnight recommended), and then go clear the batter stats in clockworkmod recovery (advanced> clear batt stats).

This will help the phone resync with battery stats more quickly.

HTH!

I have tried this and still seem to have poor battery life. Any other suggestions or things to look for? I only synch Touchdown, nothing else in the background - have wifi and GPS turned off and the battery drains to 50% in about 3 to 4 hours without really using the phone at all. Brightness is automatic also. Not sure what I might be missing. I have sbf'd, wiped everything and reinstalled twice with no luck and both times I charges to 100% and cleared the battery stats.

Any thoughts or pointers would be appreciated.
