rubiX Focused 1.8.9/1.9.3

I have a question, when I go to reboot my phone it will stay on the M logo unit I pull my battery and put it back in, Then it will boot ok sometimes, and then sometimes it does not. been running Rubix 1.8.9.

Any thoughts of what I should do to stop this?

hmmm, usually it will do that for me after a new rom install but only that once.

If it does that too often, i do a data reset and cache reset.

Maybe you can just wipe cache and see if that helps.

So by doing a Data Reset and Cache Reset does that mean I have to reinstall the ROM?

Also by doing a Caache wipe that does not mean that I have to reinstall anything right?

Thanks just asking questions because I have not done any of the wiping unless I am install a ROM.

I would actually suggest you boot into the standard recovery mode (hold down the "home" button at boot) and clear the cache from there. You may lose some settings, but nothing else. If that doesn't work, you can try clearing data in the standard recovery, but this will remove all user apps and you will be left with just the ROM; if you're going to do this, you might as well do a full ROM reinstall, following these excellent instructions:

I tend to agree that this is the best path to a truly trouble-free ROM.

Is there an APP un marketplace to organize the widgets like on newer focused roms for widgets that have 50 sizes and so on? Or can it be borrowed FROM the focused roms?

I think it was created by someone at xda, i dont believe it is on the market. It is called appwidgetpicker.apk

anyone else have funky animations when going from a launcher to an app. in app transitions are okay, just the ones coming from the home screen are odd...

What launcher?
ADW 1.3.x is known to mangle the animations a bit (1.2 comes with focused)...
As well as all versions of launcherpro...

If you're using either, you can disable the animations to make them consistent a couple ways:
--SpareParts app
--Any Focused 1.8.6 theme.

To the best of my knowledge, the Blur Gallery won't run on Focused.

I am pumped for the new version, I am hoping that it will fix the pesky battery drain issues...

On that note, I think that clearing the Dalvik cache, formatting the cache partition, then resetting the battery stats on a full charge seems to have helped. Though it honestly be my imagination.

Just gave this a shot. Will report back in a few days if 2.0's not out by then.

I did this today and have been off charger for 6H 40m and am still at 80% witjh moderate usage, email, and a couple of long calls (10 minutes or so). Previously I would be at 70% by now.

I'll keep an eye on it for longer of course. Will let you know. Oh, and I'm running 1.8.9 over 1.8.6. without the wipes.

The gallery in 1.8.9 IS the 3D gallery from Froyo...or did you mean you don't want the 3D gallery? Or am I just waaaay off here?

Can't wait for the next release. Couldn't handle the battery drain problem so I switched back to Fission for now. But the next release better have a version with and without the transitions!

It was the last one that was in the DX update. The videos thumbnails were scrollable for example.
