rubiX Focused 1.8.9/1.9.3

I have tried this and still seem to have poor battery life. Any other suggestions or things to look for? I only synch Touchdown, nothing else in the background - have wifi and GPS turned off and the battery drains to 50% in about 3 to 4 hours without really using the phone at all. Brightness is automatic also. Not sure what I might be missing. I have sbf'd, wiped everything and reinstalled twice with no luck and both times I charges to 100% and cleared the battery stats.

Any thoughts or pointers would be appreciated.

Just a thought but would it be better to let the phone build up its cache with stock volts then once you get great battery life that way then to switch to undervolting?

my reasoning is because if the phone is use to a set voltage and then we go and undervolt can we potentially get more battery life compared to just letting the cache build up in the undervolted settings?

Next version will make lots of poeple with battery issues very happy...

Everyone should just be aware that no ROM can fix poor signal quality which therefore translates into more battery usage :P

ooo my battery life is great. Currently at 33 hours and 40%. Im just wondering if building ur cache with undervolted settings or building up your cache with regular settings then undervolting will give you better battery life.

Oh so it's *not* ready (and waiting for themes)? Ah, ok, that makes more sense. Holding back an important update for themes (which not everybody even uses) would be silly at best lol. I think I'll follow suit and return to 1.8.6 for the time being to help with impatience :-P (rubix is too good to flash anything else!)

WTF how is your battery giving you 50+ hours? Do you even have data enabled? Does your phone sit on top of a Verizon tower?

Edit: Quick battery math -
If strong signal strength = 100%
And wifi uses 30% less power = 70%
And poor signal/constant switching 3g to 1x etc = 130%
Then wifi = 2x better battery life for those with poor signal quality (and yes, I know 130 != 2(70) but close enough :P)

Framework is ready for themes. Still a few things that he was changing in the test version I have (which is about a week old now)...

I am glad it isn't out yet. I left my USB cable at home and would cry if I had to wait until I got home when the new build comes out.

LOL what do you need a USB cable for?

this may be impossible due to the locked bootloader, but is there anyway to incorporate extra settings like in ultimate droid for the droid 1, there was settings for rotary lockscreen, boot animations, keyboards, overclocks etc..?

Thats good, I had to revert back to 1.6 because my battery would only last me 5 or 6 hours without using it.

A little help. I changed the color of the android in the black bar mod through ninjamorph and paint and lost transparency of the notification shade. Am I screwed?

You should be able to just re-flash the Black Bar Mod and start again.

But then I lose the color change. Any way to apply transparency to my edited .png?

The image didn't keep the transparancy...
