rubiX Focused 1.8.9/1.9.3

i don't know which version of rom using know but in menu said :

android version : 2.2.1
build number: FRG83

can i use directly rubiX Focused 1.8.9 on my phone..??

Easy way to tell:
If you installed the leak from TeamBlackHat, you want 1.9.3. If not, 1.8.9.

BTW, if you installed JRummy's Rumm RX ROM, I believe the steps he describes WILL put you on the leak... I'm still not clear on that. If so, I don't like the fact that he wasn't clear about it AT ALL (either way).

Assuming taht Fission isn't for the leak.. which is my understanding... then
Yup, you should be able to grab version 1.8.9 of drod2169's rubiX Focused ROM, and it should work just fine.

In 95% certain the first half of JRummy's install instructions will put your DX on the leak. The 'update.zip' file that he links has a "bootloader" file in it.

As much I would have loved to try this, I stayed away.

I would suggest if you are going to download tbh's leak, follow their instructions. Better to be sure than to have a $500 paperweight. Im actually using jrumm rx 1.0 until the new release for rubiX is out. Love drods work but battery life is killing me. Can't wait for the new release!

leaked or non leaked

How do you know if your running the leaked or non leaked version. I don't know whether to install 1.9.3 or 1.8.9. Thanks

You have to give it time. The phone takes a while to rebuild the cache. Once everything is built back up properly, battery life will increase. It helps to not have things syncing in the background, as well. Kik messenger is known to be a huge detriment on battery life

Other suggestion:
Charge the battery to 100% (overnight recommended), and then go clear the batter stats in clockworkmod recovery (advanced> clear batt stats).

This will help the phone resync with battery stats more quickly.

HTH!

I have tried this and still seem to have poor battery life. Any other suggestions or things to look for? I only synch Touchdown, nothing else in the background - have wifi and GPS turned off and the battery drains to 50% in about 3 to 4 hours without really using the phone at all. Brightness is automatic also. Not sure what I might be missing. I have sbf'd, wiped everything and reinstalled twice with no luck and both times I charges to 100% and cleared the battery stats.

Any thoughts or pointers would be appreciated.

Just a thought but would it be better to let the phone build up its cache with stock volts then once you get great battery life that way then to switch to undervolting?

my reasoning is because if the phone is use to a set voltage and then we go and undervolt can we potentially get more battery life compared to just letting the cache build up in the undervolted settings?

Next version will make lots of poeple with battery issues very happy...
