I am beyond antsy at this point knowing Drod has the new version ready but is waiting on themers is killing me. I am 42 hours since boot and my battery is 50% with light use on the leaked 2.3.320 stock OS. knowing this will be tweaked and improved even more on a Rubix build is driving me up the wall waiting for this release. I swear I check this thread 20 times a day.

Pretty sure he made two versions one for leak and one for ota.

Perfect. Now I can continue stalking the forum to check for a new build. I have thought of getting Tappatalk just so I can do this... Do I have an addiction? I did the same thing in my old BB days with hybrid OSes.

You have to give it time. The phone takes a while to rebuild the cache. Once everything is built back up properly, battery life will increase. It helps to not have things syncing in the background, as well. Kik messenger is known to be a huge detriment on battery life

Other suggestion:
Charge the battery to 100% (overnight recommended), and then go clear the batter stats in clockworkmod recovery (advanced> clear batt stats).

This will help the phone resync with battery stats more quickly.

I have tried this and still seem to have poor battery life. Any other suggestions or things to look for? I only synch Touchdown, nothing else in the background - have wifi and GPS turned off and the battery drains to 50% in about 3 to 4 hours without really using the phone at all. Brightness is automatic also. Not sure what I might be missing. I have sbf'd, wiped everything and reinstalled twice with no luck and both times I charges to 100% and cleared the battery stats.

Any thoughts or pointers would be appreciated.

Next version resolves the battery issues that came with 1.8.6/1.8.9/1.9.3... the ones that drod was aware of anyway... battery has been way better for testers.

Updating to the leak will NOT be a requirement. I'm not on the leak and won't be

Uh I'm not sure I completely understand what you are saying. Have you ever flashed a ROM on to your phone before? Version 1.8.9 should be installed following the same instructions that were posted for version 1.8.6.
