rubiX Focused 1.9.5

Yeah I know how to do that, but after I install the theme then I want to install a different one later do I just install the new one and it will install over the old one? Or do I uninstall the old theme then flash the new one?

Love this app... Running 1.9.5 on my dx... Just one question... What is the best app to test my phone speed... I am doing a speed test with a blue vile for an icon... It shows my score is 2318 and max fps is 42 with a 28 min fps. Is this app pretty close to true results? Im overclocked at 1.35 running low volts... Last question... How do I set my phone for ota for rubix

No such thing as OTA for rubiX

When a new version is available, it will be announced on twitter and the forums.

Hit a score of 1917 on quadrant standard... Sweet

The best benchmark for phone speed... is to set your phone up next to a stock phone, and do the same thing, and see what's faster (that's what I do with my wife's OTA, and Focused is full seconds faster than hers for most tasks)..

Read the description of quadrant. It's for testing CPU, IO, graphics, etc.
So, unless you're going to do high-end gaming with your phone, or calculate pi, or compile some code... quadrant is a bad test of performance.. period.
There simply isn't a good benmarking app out there for mobile devices.

To prove a point, you can drastically increase your Quad scores by enabling stagefright in build.prop.. but it will break stuff.

Just saying this, because throwing around the e-quad numbers is pretty much worthless for phones. :S

Totally depends on the theme.
Some themes consist of a simple barmod, and might only replace a framework file or two. Others can replace those two framework files as well as dozens of apps.

For best results.. re-install the ROM again to remove any themes before installing a new theme.

Thank you... I love gaming and when I get my job back on track I plan on doing some again... But my wfe has a palm pixi and hates my x.... She tells me she is gonna divorse me so I can marry my phone.... I just love technology and to push the limits to c what I can do... Ive really screwed it up bout 5 or 6 times but been able to pull it back to life... Files folder saved my life repeatedly

To build on this, you typically don't need to wipe data in order to do this. These are the steps I would normally take:
1) Wipe cache
2) Install rubiX 1.9.5 over my themed install
3) Boot the phone up
4) Reboot in to recovery
5) Wipe cache
6) Install new theme

It takes a little bit of extra time, but it does help to make sure nothing gets messed up. If you run in to issues, wipe data.

Ok this is so annoying. I think I've managed to find my first bug ever in a rubiX ROM. Every time I hang up, the phone reboots. Doesn't matter if I get an answering machine, call my voicemail, or talk for 30+ minutes. The damn phone reboots every time. Is there anything that can be done about this? It's rather inconvenient when the primary function of a phone causes it to reboot. Would love some input.

Well, let's start with: not a bug in the ROM. :P

What mods have you done? Overclocked? Theme? Other mod?

When did it start? Did you make any changes just before it started happening?

For troubleshooting, first thing I'd try, is reload the ROM (don't wipe data/cache, unless reloading the ROM doesn't fix it.. data/cache shouldn't be necessary, but would be a possible next step if it keeps up).

This is not a bug in the ROM. Most likely, it is a bad mod on your phone (either a theme, an overclock, etc) or a bad install of the ROM or a theme you are on. Have you overclocked or added anything via the Clockwork Recovery?

Edit: Damn you sephtin and your ninja posting.

I figured it out. I reloaded a zip file that removed the clock in the status bar. It isn't compatible with 1.9.5 and was causing the problem. Whew! Thanks for the tips.

I assume you followed the instructions, and wiped /data during the install (this is good)...
THAT is what removes the apps and data.

Now, I don't know much/anything about titanium.. really. :(
But.. what exactly is greyed out, and what app list? In titanium?

Titanium stores it's data to the SDCard I'm pretty sure.. so it should be there. By some chance are you connected to PC via USB, and the PC has your SDCard mounted (so Titanium doesn't have access)?

Best guess with what info was provided... ?

In other news.. your apps SHOULD actually be installed after the first time you open the market with the help of Google Data Sync (it's a feature that was added in Froyo)..
In Market, if you go to Menu> My Apps, does it show that some are downloading?
(BTW, if you rebooted or ?? while this was working, it may be interrupted, and not be able to restore your apps...)
With some luck, you'll get your apps back, and you can simply restore data from titanium.

Also, with Titanium, be VERY VERY careful that you DO NOT restore system data! ONLY app data.

Hope this is a nudge in the right direction.. someone that knows titanium better will hopefully know something regarding the issue you're having with it (?).

By app list I mean when you press the app button from main screen...sd card is mounted no usb cable is plugged in...I have my google acct info in but appear are not installing automatically...when I click on my appear button I do see the appear I have purchased ..I see titanium backup..I uninstalled it and reinstalled it in hopes to get it to work but still no go..like I said it does say installing and infallible successful but when I look at the app again in the market it shows open (which is grayed out) and uninstall option...I installed a few other appear to see if it was something affecting all appear but its not... it looks like its only affecting titanium backup .. :(
