rubiX Focused 1.9.5

I tried the 3g hotspot and it seemed to work however im.confused as to why there are instructions in the rubix folder that direct a specific method for using it. What's the difference?

those instructions are for WIRED tether (as they say instructionsforwiredtether.txt )

When you connect your phone to pc and open up the usb menu, you'll see "Phone as Modem" option. That's wired tethering.

I actually just tried following the instructions.txt last night.
I input my MDN number + "@vzw3g.com"
Put the PW in
Dialed number: 777

But it doesn't work :[
I get an error saying that the currently modem device is in use.
And I did set it as "Phone as Modem"

Got a question trying to get an answer have ma droidx rooted overclocked trying to getr a ndifferent rom I have The premium rom manager I down load the rom it says it down loads Ican watch progress says back existing rom and clear data ckd boxes it reboots but nothing happens same as when I started what am I doing wrong tried it several times Thanks

Have you ran the bootstrapper?

PS- you don't need rom manager

Droid X bootstrapper in the market, has to be run before you can enter recovery.

You need to do more research and know what your doing first, so you don't screw your phone up.

It's probably the first app in the app drawer (3gMobileHotSpot)
It's one of the apps that gets installed to /data. IF you wiped /data after you installed the ROM (either because of boot loop, or ??), then it's probably gone.
Try reinstalling the ROM without wiping data (just wipe cache).. and it should show up when you boot into Focused.

If you downloaded the ROM, you do. In the .zip file, it's in the /data/rubiX/app dir.

If it's not in that folder after installing, then it was installed correctly
