rubiX Focused 1.9.5

I'm having an issue where Spare Parts is telling that my phone is almost 100% on for WiFi, not sleeping, and Facebook App is constantly pinging for network connectivity, even when set to update every 4hrs.

Any ideas?

Where are you seeing this? Under battery history? I have mine on other usage, since last unplugged and see Running 44%, Screen on 35.3%, Phone on 6.1%, Wifi On 10.1%, Wifi Running 10.1%... are you saying you are seeing Running 100% and Wifi 100%? And where do you see facebook constantly pinging?

Exactly: Running 99%, WiFi on 100%.... Facebook is showing under the Battery History -> Network usage: 85%

I noticed this too, but only when Facebook chat was online, it appears to do a ping to keep the phone from going into standbye and shutting off wifi. You can go into Facebook > Chat > Menu (Go Offline) which should fix your issue.

I was using Pulse -really cool- but check out the battery consumption. I had mine set to manual updates.
I have uninstalled almost everything from my phone now cuz my batt life sucks. I'm still trying to find out the culprit... all signs point to facebook.

Is there any way to use the stock news widget that came with the phone? I find that its the best RSS reader out there, and Im really missing it.

+1 - I miss it, too.

Buzzbox has a news widget, not as nice IMO but it worked for me as a replacement for the stock news widget.

Registered just now to say thanks, this is great.

Have one issue, but it may be due to ADW. Sometimes when I open my app drawer I feel the haptic vibration, and when I go back to the home screen my dock is gone. I've tried to repeat it myself, but it only happens randomly. Any ideas why this is happening?

Also it seems the stock alarm loses the ability to use custom mp3's instead of basic ringtone/alarms. Or am I just doing it wrong?

Hey, does the camera this rom comes with have an option to change the picture size?

EDIT: ok, the setting thing is actually a scroll menu

another EDIT: Is the video portion stuck in 720p? All the other selections seem to be grayed out...

There is a DockBar feature (a second launcher bar at the bottom.. that's blank by default until you drag icons there)...
I think the default action to change between the launcher and DockBar is to swipe down (?).
It's actually a really cool feature!

But I bet that's why it's disappearing...

Regarding the MP3's.. your SDCard has to be mounted to the phone.. if your phone can't get to the SDCard because it's mounted to the computer, or (??).. then it wouldn't play them correctly.. could that be it?

Great I keep getting software OTA failed.... hmmmmm

For the OTA to work, you have to be VERY clean stock install... Root should be ok, but nothing else can be changed. (No ROMs, no bloatware renamed/removed, etc.).

The suggestion I usually give, is to just .sbf to get a clean install, and take the OTA, then re-root (you have to re-root anyway), load DroidXBootstrapper, and load Focused.

OK,
in the video, hit the setting thing, scroll down to quality, choose custom, then u can select whatever

This has probably been asked before so I apologize, now that rubix uses gummyjar, 3g hotspot works (suggesting its no longer 100% blur free). Does this mean fm radio and hdmi work now too?

Sent from my DROIDX using DroidForums App

It's never been 100% blur free. 3G HotSpot isn't necessarily a "blur" app, its just an app that moto included wrongly in their framework to require blur. No hdmi and FM radio do not work yet

Ah, sorry... just assumed the old versions were 100% blur free since you consistently posted in your release notes "De-Blurred COMPLETELY". I refer to hdmi/fm radio/3gMH has blur apps because of the fact that they require blur (until someone works around), but I understand your distinction that there are blur apps that aren't dependent on blur within the framework.

Having some gps problems.. anyone else? Im running linear theme also.. if that helps with anything. Using navigation.. with gps turned on lol.. not finding mu location, keeps searching for it.

I DID hear of someone that had that problem, reported it on the forums.. they drove all the way home, GPS never did pick up their location...

I believe my suggested fix was to reboot the phone.. and it started working. ;)
Crossing my fingers.. that help at all? :)
