Second Android Update 2.2 Froyo (FRG22 Rolling) Out Now

No (2nd) OTA here &hellip; yet. Just #ReAdInG through this thread leaves me confident with my choice NOT 2 root. Sure it sounds enviable some of the claimed speed s but my stock D1 with OTA 2.2 I'm not sure how much faster this thing can run &hellip; I don't wait but 4 a couple a seconds 4 anything. Custom ROMs &hellip; personally I haven't seen ANY screen shots that look better then what I've put together. Battery & heat &hellip; frankly I'm not sure what some here expect. Its a very small device with a very small battery. Heat & battery are directly tied to use and more important the distance the device is from the tower. The point 2 this post is what's the point? Too many users here cause their own problems 4 what? Extra stress if the next OTA will FU your root? Not me. I don't stress but I then again I don't fu¢k with my phone neither. Go ahead & bash me I don't care. My D1 kicks ass & I'm not bragging but it's NEVER crashed, froze up, have had 2 pull the battery or any of the other incredible gamut of issues posted here > EVER < "No Lie" since the day I bought it 5 months & 2 OTA's ago. I had the issue when I first went to the "original" 2.2 as well. They all showed up eventually.

hmmm…what's eventually? a day, a week? I thing I ran FRG22 leaked for several days and the market wasn't fixed.

Did you clear your market cache? Fixed it for me when I went to the "original" 2.2...

I hate to say it but I have some doubts as to whether or not this is a legitimate OTA file. If it was we certainly wouldn't be prompted to upgrade to FRG10B. The fact that you can't see Flash in the Market.

I'm not saying it's a fraud, just that things are not what they should be.

Exactly... I'm sitting here un-rooted waiting for the OFFICIAL 22D OTA then I'll re-root and do what I want.

I haven't had an OTA since 2.0.1... I have always got tired of waiting and downloaded updates since 2.1, I want to do an OTA for a change
Flash is no big deal so I can wait... hopefully there will be a noticeable improvement in BTVD accuracy because that is the only thing that REALLY SUCKS about the phone.
The only thing I really use root for besides manual updates is WiFi Tether and Ti Backup.

I have installed it. I did not wipe. And have had zero problems! It actually has fixed some sensor problems I was having.

i applied it synced one app back. have a problem with private apps. and also cant find flash if this is the second update. ill stick with cm6

I put it on my phone and got stuck in a boot loop, so i reverted back to my old ROM. Gonna wait it our for another few FRG22D based ones to surface, just my experience though.

did you wipe data and cache prior to the install. i tried it with 4 kernels and never had a bootloop issue

frg22d is a go on my phone, it got all my apps back, it seems to be running a little slow but it also just started up

yeah i did it just went straight into repeating the android and the eye back and forth
