Much appreciated, great job!! Despite the battery life increase that just seems way too thick for me lol, but it does seem like a good idea if your traveling though!

I received my Seidio extended battery on Saturday. The instructions said to charge for at least 8 hours before normal use. When I put the battery in it was at 70% charge and it only took maybe an hour for it to say 100%. I still left it on the charge even though I don't think it was charging(?). The instructions also said that you need to have at least 5 charges before the battery becomes conditioned and performance improves.

Technically its not charging but it really is. When a certain amount of total amperage quits passing through the charger, it assumes they are charged.

They want you to give it an 8 hour charge so any cells that are weaker than may have drained farther during the long shelf storage will be brought up to par with the strong cells.
Its getting a trickle charge... its still getting hit with voltage and the cells that are strongest get there first and amperage quits passing as the voltage is a near match, but the weaker cells that take more time finally get there too.

Once they are equalized, they will stay together easier.

Its assumed with normal use you will have it on the charger much longer than needed in many instances so that will keep them equalized.

I agree that it's not pretty! From what I can measure it looks like it sticks out about 5/16 inch.

My phone says it's been off the charger for 12 hours 45 minutes and I just looked and it went from 70% down to 60%. Very decent day since I used it pretty heavily.

fwiw....
