I am wondering the same thing. I just wish it would get here.

Had to wait nearly 3 weeks just to get the X in the first place though...so at least I have it. I can wait until "end of summer" for 2.2. :icon_ banana:

How did you get an X with 2.2 on it?

Did you buy it off someone who rooted it?

Nope I manually rooted it the day I received it as it already had Froyo running on it when I received it. Where it came from I can't go into to be honest. What I can and will say is it didn't come from VZW, ebay, or craigslist.

Another thing that is kinda cool and I haven't seen posted anywhere on the web is the Star Wars ROM for the special edition r2d2 Droid 2. I'm not a huge star wars fan but it is slick. And here is the kicker I've seen it installed and running on an X and fully functioning even.


Bottom line is people IMO need to relax and wait it out or jump on the leaked files. Specially seeing as a new one hit last night again ( 2.3.15), which last I heard was suppose to be the OTA update. Lord only know s tho as they continue to make changes and updates on a daily basis. Fact is Moto is working on it and they are trying to do there best to put out a QUALITY build. Not rush it to release to have people complain about issues that got overlooked, which IMO makes total sense.

I keep reading 22nd as the ROLL OUT date.

So does that mean EVERYONE with an X will get it on the 22nd....or does it go in order of OLDEST phone to NEWEST.

I heard they do batches of 10000 at a time....true or false?

From a posting over in the Moto forums someone called VZW CS. It will supposedly be pushed out in batches going alphabetically by your last name. the gentlemen who made the post had a name that started with V and he was told it may be a week or more before he received it.

However if anyone wants it bad enough and is rooted and is running the leaked Froyo build just run a search online for 2.3.15 and you'll find the X froyo update already around

Maybe they do the batches for the phones they send the update to but you can always do it manually by checking yourself for the upgrade and then doing it from there... Either way, everyone should get it tomorrow!
