I'm curious how you "learned" this - as far as I can tell there has been 0 confirmed OTA legitimate Froyo updates, based on posts on this and other forums, news posts on tech sites etc.

Pretty sure after about 5 people get the update the whole internet will be like zomg teh update is finally herez!!1!

Which will then promptly be followed by waaaaa why hasn't my magic push time come yet I hate u motorolaz!!1!

2 posts, but these words he speaks are true!

ok well you see i use my phone to call, yes these fancy magical things can infact call people too, the numbers that both verizon and moto provide

I'd love for it to be true, but don't you think it's odd that there's no one anywhere on the great grand internet who has said I received an OTA update? And also odd that no tech site is saying it's been released?

Just sayin.

Not that I'm trying to be negative or discredit your phone call, just bitter that the update hasn't come out yet. If you did receive that information from Verizon and Moto, I imagine it's their way of trying to start a rumor to hopefully convince people that it is out when it's not, keeping customers happy and buying themselves time by saying it's a very slow release process.

I guarantee you it will be very obvious when the update is really here. People will be flipping out, the forum will probably crash in a sea of "Froyo is here!" threads...

I thought i'd at least attempt give some sort of positivity, by actually going asking moto and verizon

Lol....... VZW is telling you folks a line of garbage. For one the Froyo update for the X still hasn't been approved per the last word I got just last week. The file (2.3.13) on the float already which was suppose to be the OTA update failed testing from what I was told. And secondly Moto does not push out updates to customers, all updates to come threw VZW's network.

Im eager to get it only b/c my g/f with her Droid1 loves shoving in my face how her old droid phone has flash and this and that, and my brand new super droid x does not. LOL.

There are way to many problems with the X for it to be stable enough to run flash or froyo. The phone has minor issues..

Why do I read this forum? Was a question asked before they decided to close the original thread on this subject. Because For some reason, the moderators and owners of this forum, think that when you post on here that you want to be subscriped to the thread? No matter how many times I remove the checkmark it always gets checked back???

I mean this no disrespect to anyone.

Go into your user control panel and un-check it there...

Really? I was running the leaked Froyo build for a couple weeks and had zero problems. I flashed back to 2.1 in anticipation of the official release.

This made me laugh. I've been running Froyo(and it's very stable) for several days now, and I know there's people here that have had it running for even longer than that. Flash works beautifully with zero problems for me so far. So I have no idea where you're coming from.

I couldn't agree more seeing as I was one who was lucky enough to get an X that had Froyo on it when I received it. This is back when the Froyo build was version 2.x.x ( IE before the leaked 2.3.9 hit the web). And even at that the current one around (2.3.13) is not the most current version anymore.
