[ROM] The CM7 Gingerbread ROM (CM4D2-GB) is now ready for prime time!

Alright...so i was sbfing back to froyo like y'all said to, but my battery died during it and now when i go into boot loader it says "code corrupt" "battery low" "can't program"
did i finally get a shiny brick? i have it plugged in and the light on the side is on, but i have no way of checking if its actually charging.

Give it 2 hours, then try to boot it. If not, pray that you have a friend with a d2 or d2g that is willing to let you borrow their battery. Moto stock rom has the ability to charge while the battery is dead, CM does not. This happened to me and I had to wait for my GF to get back from vacation. Switch batteries, charge their phone with yours in it, and SBF yours with theirs in it. By the time you get on the new GB, you can switch back and hook it up to charge on your machine.

I have been looking for an answer so I didn't ask a dumb question, but I can't find it. I want to get CM4D2 GB on my friends D2, it has the latest official GB update on it so can I just root it and then flash CM7 or do I have to SBF to Froyo and use the GB leak?

Root it using the d3 one click method. Install d2 bootstrap and boot into recovery. It worked for me.

well i used rsdlite 4.9 to sbf back and after it finished it put me in a bootloop and its says to manually power up the phone. I have waited 10 minutes then i tried to battery pull, but same thing

Haha. I just read what you guys were writing a while back. Classic. Actually, it was just a cup of coffee. It was a nice couple of hours though. I've known this girl for a minute though so she knows I'm a droid junkie among other things (14 months today away from the other "stuff")

By the way, nice progression kc. I played it when I got back. :!
I love the last chord. I'm a sucker for hybrids (chords that contain no 3rd and are therefore ambiguous due to a lack of major or minor quality). That Berklee education comes in handy!

Boot into stock recovery (power and x, then magnifying glass) and do a factory reset. That'll take care of your bootloop.

I'm tired. It's nite nite for me

Dude! Your ok! That happens! Always in that event of bootloops after completing sbf just pull battery and wipe data factory reset and GOLDEN!

My D2 is miles ahead of me running Cm7GB(OTAkernel)

That. Looks. Terrifying. Is it just something you install and it does the work for you? I want no business with the terminal emulator.

You don't have to use Terminal if you just want the basic mods enabled....only need terminal to enable undervolt and/or overclock, and V6 mods. And terminal is very, very easy to use w/his script - menu driven - choose numbers from a list. My WIFE could do it.
