The Official DF Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release Thread

I called both Verizon stores near me. One said there was no official date for release, but they had them in stock. After being put on hold, the other said that tomorrow will be the day. I'm sure this news isn't any different from many other's experiences calling about this phone. Debating whether or not to call the local BB or Radio Shack...

Called another BB in my area and they too said they have them in stock in the back, but cannot release them until Verizon notifies them, and Verizon has not done that yet.

You know the silence scares me too. I didn't follow the release of the Rezound, but someone replied to my post and said it just kind of appeared on a Monday without any mention. Not sure if that is true, but makes me feel better about tomorrow.

I'm not sure how much advance notice we had but we were aware of the 11/14 release (in advance).

This. There may not have been a ton of fanfare around the Rezound but there was zero doubt that it was going to be released...

I just called my local store and they said that it would definitely have it for sale tomorrow and wanted to set an appointment for me to pick it up. So hopefully, it wont end up like last time.

I've seen more proof of it coming tomorrow than proof of it not coming tomorrow. I really hope it drops but if not at least I got a 4 day weekend!

Because they probably wasn't emphasized to not be discussed before hand. I still have that post Preach made awhile back lurking in the back of my mind about how much VZW wanted this to be a silent release (why? I have no idea). Launching the white Razr on the same day will definitely do something to make the Nexus even more unnoticed if it comes out on the same day.
