I am amazed at some of the 4G speeds people are claiming. The best I pulled from speedtest was about 1.5 megs... I figure 10x's better max with a full connection, but 20x's faster? Wow...
I work in a building, that is basically a metal building, that really makes it hard to receive a decent signal inside the building. I know that the 4G connection should be stronger and likely reach my phone better. It was one of the main reasons I wanted to jump to 4G so fast. However, I still have to wait for 4G to be put up in my area.. Looking at the 15th of this month. So I got that to wait for.
I was going to wait out and hear some reviews on the lapdock. Everyone has ipads and other tablets. I figured this was a neat little work around. Small compact, and uses my phone. So, add in 4G and what really compares, right? Sadly - I've heard some scary reviews with it.. Basically complaints of a no back lit keyboard, which wouldn't matter to me too much. But the real concern is the typing speed. I type about 100 wpm, so I figured this would be great for using to text ppl faster. Looks like I'll out type the speed of the phone!
Not sure what people are claiming with the screen. I'm normally one to notice quality differences from 720P, 1080i to 1080P. Not sure what the big deal is, but, I'm not going to complain. I'm going from a DX to the Bionic, and I see that it has much improved. Nothing day & night difference wise, but just a better overall phone. The big kicker for me was 4G.
I wanted motorola for the sake of the lapdock option if I choose to go that route. So no sense in waiting for something better. Unless the Droid HD is a stellar phone... Than I
may think, oops! Pulled the trigger too soon.
oh well, than just buy retail and sell the old device, right?
guy got in 2 and both were sold and was told hopefully will get some more in a couple of days:blink:
