[Theme] 928Droid Black Glass X for Droid X !!!

I'm a noob at this so don't flame me to hard. :) I've installed metamorph installed on my droid x but having a problem installing the theme. I'm getting the following error the theme you selected is invalid because the theme control file could be missing. I have android 2.1. Does this only work for 2.2?

I'd advise anyone who installed the 2.2 leak to wait until 928Droid advises that it is ok to install his theme with this leak. As you can see from the original post, the theme was last updated on 8/15/2010, so it may only be compatible with 2.1. I am not sure if the framework and service.jar would be different to theme, but you never know.

I will wait for the man himself to give us a heads up if it is good to install or not.

Thats the best option anytime, wait for instructions. That being said, I'm 99.9% sure that installing this theme over 2.2 is going to cause serious problems. Certain files and images are located in different places with 2.2 and the theme wont know about that, so things are going to be put in the wrong places.
Give it a little time, 928 will have it up and running for the X with Froyo soon.

I imagine that it will be soon that 928 will get the theme out.

Also, after reading up on XDA, it seems that anyone who pushes the framework and service.jar from the 2.1 themes get a Bricked device. So ya, DO NOT use a 2.1 theme on the 2.2 leak unless you want to use the SBF to get your device working again.

The Current Theme files are NOT MetaMorph Themes, they are Update.zip themes and ONLY work on Droid X with 2.1.

If the file you have say Update ZIP and not "MM" in the file name it is not a MetaMorph file .

Any timeframe on if and when this will work for the 2.2 leak that came out? :)

Ya I've been wanting to put this theme on my 2.2 since yesterday. I miss it already : (

Ahh ok got it. Are the MM files still available? I pretty much see all updates. Thanks!

**Edit I think I found it.

Sorry i've read your original post over 10x and i still dont understand it that well, i downloaded all the files thats needed and used the rom manager to give permission to everything. then i looked thru the first half of the thread and i still cant find a solution. sorry if this has been asked but ive spent alot of time trying to get this theme and its gettin frustrating..

so getting to the point, i tried opening/looking for the theme file, in one of the post you said its blurhome.apk but i dont get how i can open that with metamorph, i also tried looking at anything else i can open with metamorph from it but i cant find any files. when i try to open the zip file with it, i just get a error message saying something about a theme control file missing. im new to all this but i got the nextheme working but i really like this one so if you can help me, thanks in advance.

No offense, but if you've gone over the instructions THAT many times and you still don't understand what to do you probably shouldn't be doing this.

thanks for the criticism but in that time spent typing maybe you could've at least answer part of my question

Like it's been said before, the steps required to apply a theme are posted and explained. Most people can follow those steps and are able to apply these themes on their own, but theming isn't for everyone.
