[Theme] 928Droid Black Glass X for Droid X !!!

So there is an update.zip on my sd card now. I've downloaded the black glass update.zip. can I just put the black glass update.zip on the sd and rename it update.zip and rename the existing update.zip -> update1.zip or something and install update.zip via koush's recovery? Is koush's recovery reading the existing update.zip on my sd? I'm just a little confused at where koush's recovery is looking at the update.zip. it's just \sd\update.zip or whatever right?
Edit: NM that worked. Scared the **** out of me because it took so long to boot at first. I'm obviously not too savvy with this so recovery would have been interesting.

Glad it worked. And what's great about ClockworkMod Recovery is that the update.zip does not have to be named update.zip. For example, Koush's Froyo update is called "droidx_rooted_froyo.zip". And it doesn't have to be on the root of the SD card. You can put it wherever it makes sense. And you use the Install from SD Card option, then navigate to where the .zip is, and install from there.

Sa-Weet! Just out of curiosity... how'd you end up doing the Odexed first? Figured (from what I've read - I'm no programmer...) the DeOdexed would be easier.

I didn't feel like doing the whole deodexed process and figured someone intelligent enough such as Droid928 would get 'er done for the odexed 2.2 :icon_ banana:
Lol I just went through the deodex process, wasn't pretty and worst of all had to reinstall everything and reconfig everything. I guess I should have read this before doing it, would've saved me a headache lol
Sorry guys, not gonna happen today. For some reason my X is one of those that just doesn't like this 2.2 Leak. There are various thread were a lot of people are having the same problem...I even went so far as deleting ALL the files off of my phone and flashing an empty phone with the SBF to get a fresh start..still no go. Pretty scary to be connected via ADB/Android Commander and press delete on the whole Root directory/files and watch the screen go black....at least the first time !!!
So after 4 SBF reinstalls working my way back too 2.2 ....I am on my 5th SBF restore...this time it stays at 2.1 untill there is a more stable leak.
In the meantime I will be enhancing the current 2.1 Theme as there are a lot of ideas I have to retheme the Blur Widgets and such.
I will also be Theming the 2.2 Files Manually, and if anyone is interested I will supply some "unsuipported" Beta versions to test. Probably have some of those ready by the end of the week or over the weekend. I only want EXPERIANCED Testers, if you don't know what an Update.zip is and how to apply it with your eyes closed and half asleep ...don't ask

I believe he is still going to... just not last night. He's looking for someone to "test" his work since he downgraded his phone back to 2.1.

Ok someone please tell me if I'm thinking about this correct. There are 3 files on media fire. I can install all of these by going through koush's recovery and just installing update.zip from SD right?
- Back to stock update.zip - I install this one to get back to all stock apps, user settings, system settings, and stuff. Like it came from the womb of verizon.
- Regular Black Glass update.zip - This will just install the modded theme
- ADW Launcher patch update.zip - This is the one I'm confused with. I'm assuming this will only affect the ADW Launcher?
I installed the Black Glass update.zip and didn't notice the ADW patch was released later. If I install the ADW patch through koush's recovery by selecting it from the SD, It's only going to change ADW right?

FYI, making GREAT progress on all of the "ugly" Blur Widgets...they don't look so bad now
May have an update (for 2.1) soon...not gonna give out days/dates anymore.
