Can you just grey out the wifi one instead of changing the symbol? Personally, I think it's too dissimilar to the other ones.

Request: Please do something with the icons next to the app drawer =( Id hate to be stuck with those plain looking phone/contact icon. I would love to see you color/design the existing icons that are there.

But I definitely like what you did to the app drawer icon. Simple yet eye catching =)

So I'm rooted, and originally i used the terminal emulator to complete this and then I downloaded easy root. When I flashed your back to stock zip my root appears to be gone, but easyroot says I'm still rooted. When i hit unroot it says i am already rooted and it wont allow me to reroot. I can't get into any root programs and when i type su in terminal it doesn't change to #. What do i need to do?

You are a mind reader....been working on that the past few hours.

It is really hard to come up with something that keep the flavor of the X, yet make it nicer. I too agree the ones I have been using (standard Phone Contacts Icons) aren't good enough.

I am also trying to get BlurHome modified so we can replace the Contacts on the right with the Browser.. To me it is ridiculous to have the Phone and the Contacts as those choices, heck you can get to the Contacts thru the Phone app... weird.

OH, I also got all the other Droid LiveWallpers working, we were missing, "Nexus/Neural Network" from the Droid, I have my custom darker "Droid Does" version of this I like (shown in screen shoys below), The Water/Leaves, Gallaxy, Polar Clock etc.. Not sure why they left all of those out of the X, but I got em hacked back in now, total of 13 LWPs in just the stock app :-)

Anywho, here is where I am at with those 2 Home Icons (phone/Contacts) for now... Ended up being nothing fancy, just a black glass background with darkened and increased contrast on the original icons. Wanted it to be subtle, and no matter what colors I used I knew someone wouldn't like it. It also ties into what I am doing with the Blur Widgets, see last Screen Cap. Your honest thoughts and ideas are appreciated.

OH, the second shot shows me holding the phone icon "pressed" so you can see the change to red. Below that is new LiveWallper list. All of this AND more coming in Release 3 tonight. THEN, I am starting on transferrig all the new stuff to 2.2 for the DX and D2 :-)

This is AWESOME! I love it! Makes me want to go back to 2.1 >_< You did a great job with the changes to the bottom icon. It would be nice if the contact icon was the browser or anything else cuz you're right the damn contacts is accessible from the phone app >_>

The widgets are looking awesome. Are you doing this for all blur widgets? Weather, Sticky notes (that would be sweeeet!), messages, Photo frame etc?

After having your theme for 2 weeks then going to 2.2 I feel like android just never wants to color anything in. Its always gray lol. Your theme feels like the UI has been slapped with some life ^_^ appreciate your hard work!

Thanks!! BTW, no worries, you will have it for 2.2 soon. I am spending my time getting everything just right on 2.1 before I start porting all of it to 2.2...it will go muc faster that way.

And yes, I am Theming al of the Blur Widgets, that is why it is taking so long. There are a ton of images that have to be edited for each Widget.

I have tried various styles but have ended up with the Widget Banners looking like this (see screen cap below). There are also some "concessions" that have to be made with my current layout. Certain Widgets have to have a white background because of the Text color, while some do not. I have come up with a compromise that I think works best. All widgets sizes of 2x2 and less (including all the 1x3, 1x4 verticals) will have black transparent backgrounds. This gives me the look I want for the Quick Contacts (in screen cap posted earlier) and for the Calendar in a 2x2 mode.....yet when go I larger and or wider (as in 4x1 Horizonal) the backgrounds are white transparent which works for Widgets like Messaging, Social, News, etc. These are typically larger anyway so it works out (at least in my head :-). Hope this makes sense.

Here is a shot of some of the widgets... Note that the "Banner" in Messaging (the dark red one) is the only one that is finished completely. This will give you an idea of how the others wil be done, just in their respective colors. It gives the banners a darker look and works better with the Black Glass IMHO. I am also able to give them a more 3D look. If you look at the Blue "Social Networking" Banner below Messaging, you can see the translucent version I tried, but I lost the 3D effect and it looked "chalky" with lighter Wallpapers....hence the change to the style like the "Messaging" Banner....at least for now.

I believe I already noticed this but, the 2. 2 version will be formatted to work with the naturally odexed system, correct?

I would like to add, shortly after upgrading to froyo, I immediately regretted my decision! Your theme is hands down (to me) the best aesthetic modification I have seen to date on the Android platform. Motorola should strongly consider contacting you to become part of their design team. Thank you again for all of your hard work. I am doing the best I can to remain patient for the froyo release!
