Ultimate Droid Froyo eXtreme 8.0.0 - Droid

I love this ROM. runs smooth as hell and highest quadrant score of any ROM i've used. had a couple burps at the begining. but nothing that wasnt fixable. I did notice today that on the stock Calculator app the subtract symbol is gone. no biggie just thought I would post it and see if any other people had that bug also

I'm trying to put my head around this.. I mean you have to reboot the 1st time and it works.. then another reboot and it doesn't. What's different about the 1st reboot and the 2nd reboot?
Test something for me... reinstall and let it boot up. Then, turn the phone OFF. Pull out your SD card and then try to boot the phone up.

Not saying it's going to work but.. you seem determined and if we are going to troubleshoot it, we gotta start emiminating possible issues.

OK I think I have it figured out... duh..

An app on your phone is doing this. When you 1st boot up it works. Then it goes and installs all your apps. Then you reboot and it doesnt work.

With that being said.. it would seem to me to be an app that starts at boot. For no other reason than "just because" I am thinking SetCPU.

xkape, you might be on to something, the second boot is the first after all applications have been restored. I will try UD again and not restore setcpu and let you know. Thank for giving it some thought, I appreciate that.

I hope to enjoy UD9 in the future.

ps ... go bucks and gals ... and tribe!!

Apprazer.. it might not be SetCPU.. that was just a guess. Try it though and see. It may be a bit of a pain in the butt...but... eventually you are going to find the app(s) that are doing it.

You could also test this by not restoring any apps at all. And try to reboot it and see if it works.

Do you run a task killer? If so..um.. try that next.

ok further thought would lead me to believe it's probably a task killer (if you have one). Something else to try as well... when you are in recovery wiping the data and the cache.. go into "advanced" and wipe the Dalvik cache as well.

I'm getting an FC every time I try to install the Cytown Phone app from UD8. Is there a way to install it manually? Maybe through terminal?

My Slacker radio stops/force closes when I try to use it, and the Browser simultaneously, however I doubt this is a problem w/ UD8. Think it's more of a Slacker issue.

Anyone have any hints? I switched after Pandora reset my stations 2x (had about 15).

I love UD8s performance, anytime it starts to slow, I just free 100mb or reboot into recovery and clear the cache (only necessary about 2x a week) while BB used to need me to do it like every other day.

Is there a fix for the ads on and ads off script? Everytime I go to "show all ads" it justs sits there and nothing happens. Thanks for any help you can give

I've also tried this (not restoring any apps). I've even tried not allowing it to sync on the first boot up. As for Dalvik cache, yup tried that too. I guess I'll just have to wait until 9 comes out and see if that works. Pretty disappointing though, I hear GREAT things about UD extreme!
