Update Radio to Newest Version (does NOT require root)

Has anyone done this successfully for the Incredible?

i had to download the file from 4shared because the one in the guide does not work anymore(it says the servers for that file o mediafire are down or something). i downloaded the file and i had to extract it with winrar. so i extracted to my desktop and it got rid of the folder. i just put all the stuff that appeared on my desktop into a new folder which i named update.

EDIT: maybe i wasnt supposed to extract the file? could that be the problem?

Nope, were not supposed to extract. Just make sure it is named update.zip, LEAVE IT ZIPPED, and place it in the ROOT of your SD Card. Those are the most important details. By root, it is in the uppermost tier when you navigate to the SD card.

It can take up to fifteen to twenty minutes in the final stages. When the boot screen comes back up and looks like its stuck, it probably isn't. Just be patient. It can take awhile.

fotc you my friend had what i needed , jkhonea your link lead me to the download that was giving the poor b/s also took me several server attempts guess the file is fragmented on mediafire. but i appreciate both of your help there now the fun part the actual flashing

Apparently, flashing the radio and rooting has gotten really popular with the non-release of the OTA this week. ROFL
