[UPDATE][Rom]D1-MIUI-1.1.14.1

FB Syncing issue

Just to let everyone know the FaceBook syncing issue is still present in this build. Essentially FB will only sync ALL contacts. Even when selecting sync with existing, all contacts are pulled and synced.

is anyone else getting reboots when they try and restore apps in titanium? this is happening to me with a fresh install of 1.1.14.1 right after i log in to my google acct for the first time.

I had a few reboots this morning after updating last night (other than the reboots, it was working perfectly), then after one reboot my phone became completely unstable. When I turn it on it gets to the lockscreen and I can unlock it, but no matter what I do, it ends up freezing after ~30 seconds. Completely unresponsive, screen still on, power button does nothing, etc. Anyone else having this issue?

edit: Droid 1

after my 5th time this morning of reinstalling 1.1.14.0 and then 1.1.1.14.1 ive finally gotten my apps restored and theme installed with seemingly no reboots or FCs yet

as soon as i login into my gmail account it turns around and says 1 or 0 apps partially restored. My market doesnt show anything but 2 apps either.

Anyone else having an issue restoring apps? last few releases worked fine, now i cant get it to restore for the life of me. is this a known isssue? is there a work around? or is it just my phone being difficult?

I haven't heard of anyone else having this issue. None of my apps restored once I signed in. I bypassed the initial setup screen and signed in afterwards if that makes any difference. I doubt it does. And I restored my apps with TB and all are in the market including paid apps that I don't have installed.

My apps restored natively just fine. However, I didn't bypass the initial setup screen. I can't understand why anyone wants to restore via Titanium as it doesn't show said restored apps in the market for easy updating....

At least every time I've restored something through Titanium it has never shown up in the market.

I understand. The first time I used it it didn't show any of the restored apps in the market. I showed them as downloaded when I looked them up but they weren't in my downloads list. But, every time I have restored them since then, they have shown up in the downloads section and update just fine.

That be me..

Anyone else's camera still doing the strobe thing? Is there a fix for this? Plus is the original camera app installed or available? I personally would rather use it than the MIUI app. Other info usual instal wiped all loaded both 14.0 and 14.1 etc.

Thanks

Jamezelle this its why we need the eula's back lol. The camera works fine for me. Check the op for the old camera.

Yeah, I noticed a couple of seconds after posting. Can I get at least a point, I did correct myself in the very next post. Reading is fundamental - Duh! (Directed to me btw). Oh and the MIUI camera is now working great. Along with the rest of the ROM. I think it is the best yet and I started from the beginning. :D

I has this issue when i used Titanium Bkup, it happened when I used titanium and made a titanium install zip using it to create it (I have Titanium Pro). I flashed this zip after flashing MIUI. When I went to the market and starting downloading apps it would reboot when it tried to install the first one it downloaded. I then just pulled the titanium apk from the install zip to install after a fresh install of MIUI. I skipped the log in and installed the titanium.apk that I had, then used it to install every app just fine.

My MIUI has been running flawlessly. I'm using stock theme and kernel.
This is the first version of MIUI that I have been happy with.

I have also found out that most of my weird rom problems happen when I download a rom directly to my droid, I have found for some reason that its better to download to a PC then copy to my droid.

Yes I'll make a note in the OP

If you restore SYSTEM DATA from a titanium backup you made from ANOTHER ROM THAN MIUI will get reboots....ONLY restore app data and apps. but ONLY if you bypass market sync or cancel all the downloads from the market then run the restore.

What else did you do? stock kernel? restore anything with Titanium backup??

if you restore system data with Titanium Backup from another rom you will get reboots.

If you bypass the setup you also bypass market sync.

what causes the theme updater to just sit at 0/10 when trying to apply a theme change? how do i fix that issue?

If you flashed another kernel sometimes this breaks permissions for the files Theme Manager needs to apply the theme.

yea if the market sync is running while you are running titanium restore then you will get reboots. you cant do both at the same time, and you cant restore apps from titanium that the market synced already.

I've had the same issue sooooo many times and it drives me crazy.. The only things I can figure out is that I use the green progress bar/transition tweek and it breaks the 14.1 upgrade, sometimes after doing that mod I cannot upgrade themes and only a wipe will fix it.

Someone mentioned a kernel issue, I use chevy 1250ulv with the govener set at performance and I no longer have that issue
