[UPDATE][Rom]D1-MIUI-1.1.14.1

anyone having issues with Latitudes?

I am able to Join, but my location and my friends location doesnt update? Was working fine up to 12.31 but been having issues on 1.7 and 1.14.

And yes, i wiped.

Well, I was going to try it and see if it worked for me but... it asks me to either create an account or sign in. So, I sign in and it tells me that there is already an account with that email associated with this phone. Which defeats the purpose of signing in altogether. I don't know what's going on.

Got it working,
I signed in with my alternate gmail account then changed it back to my normal account and its updating fine now.... strange.

If you restore SYSTEM DATA from a titanium backup you made from ANOTHER ROM THAN MIUI will get reboots....ONLY restore app data and apps. but ONLY if you bypass market sync or cancel all the downloads from the market then run the restore.

What else did you do? stock kernel? restore anything with Titanium backup??

if you restore system data with Titanium Backup from another rom you will get reboots.

If you bypass the setup you also bypass market sync.

If you flashed another kernel sometimes this breaks permissions for the files Theme Manager needs to apply the theme.

i did not restore system data from "ANOTHER ROM THAN MIUI"
i only restored apps sans data

Relax, you are not the only one having difficulties w/ theme manager. I couldn't get it to work yesterday, so I figured I would try and use the online themes, downloaded my theme 2.0 and started it,about halfway through FC. I was then able to restore the default theme without issue. I'm sticking w/ this until the next release.
Nobody is accusing you of anythng, they are just trying to help:)

Any chance that this is a solution to the problem with themes?

As far as the theme fixer goes, it works sometimes, i just wish flashing mods didnt break permissions on the 4 files the theme manager needs. I think ill add a script to reset the correct permissions on boot.

Word, it's worked for me when I needed it for theming. I always go back to the default "stock" theme though - call me vanilla but I just prefer it over everything else.

Hey Jamezelle you should add the theme fixer link to the OP, I had to do a little digging to find the link (very little, but still). Some flash happy folks might find themselves needing to flash it often until there's a built-in fix.

Sure thing!

The slayher kernel was my problem. Stock fixed it. Any suggestions on using a faster kernel?

Sent from my Droid using DroidForums App

I also was using a slayher kernel (came to MIUI from UD) and it was causing my droid to run hot and slow. Switched to Chevy ulv 1GHZ and my OG Droid runs more smoothly, and rarely gets hot. So far so good.

Hey guys,

I'm new to MIUI so bare with me. When I had Ultimate Droid 2.3, when 2.5 came out, I just downloaded it and installed it without needing to wipe my droid.

Right now I'm on MIUI 1.1.7.0, why would I need to wipe to update to the newest version? I had assumed the whole point of the MIUI backup was so that you could install newer versions without wiping?

Thanks.

I wipe between versions, you might be able to get away with not wiping....BUT BACKUP FIRST in case you have problems...

So I should:

1. nandroid backup the current version,
2. wipe,
3. Flash 1.1.14.0,
4. then flash 1.1.14.1

Want to make sure I have that right.

I ran into an issue today that I had briefly with MIUI a couple of builds ago. I tried to use the Navigation app, and it popped up a window that said Checking Navigation Availability, and that would not go away. When it happened to me before it seemed to go away on its own, but not this time.

Has anyone else tried Navigation yet? Any ideas?

i had this issue a few roms ago and now after i install new rom i run "Maps" first.. then run navigation and it works fine.. you only have to run maps 1st the very first time then you can run navigation without running maps first

hope that helps

Ah thanks for the reply! I haven't been around the forum lately so didn't catch it until now. I'll give this a shot.

am I knob, or missing something? I thought there was going to be a 4 way boot on 14 build. ( insert beating here)
