[UPDATE][Rom]D1-MIUI-1.1.14.1

Jamezelle,

Thank you for all your hard work on this one. Unfortunately, every time one fire gets put out, another one is started!

I like to use your custom kernels. The one you released recently has many problems with 1.1.14.0 and 1.1.14.1. I tried using your kernel from December and that seemed to work until I realized that Wireless Tether will not start now. It keeps asking if my phone is rooted?!

Well, long story short, I am sticking to 1.1.7 for now with your latest kernel release. I depend on all aspects of this to work. Wireless tether is a must for me. 1.1.7 is fast and flawless for me.

Hopefully, 1.1.21 will play nicer with my phone. I will say I was surprised that you have to reverse engineer MIUI!? I assumed that it was open source.

Thanks again for all your hard work.

Well, I couldn't stand the fact that I was not running the most recent MIUI release. (I'm addicted!) So I tried to flash D1-MIUI-MOD-V1.2 on top of 1.1.14.1.

SUCCESS!

Compcache with Jamzelle's latest kernel works perfect. Wireless tether works. WIFI works.

Rock on!

Flash each time after a theme is applied?

Maybe this is just an anomoly... but after wiping and flashing a clean install of 1.14.0, I was able to apply a theme since I was getting the "preparing new theme 0/10" message as others had. I then wanted to change to another theme and now I am getting the same message and this was after trying a few different themes. So it begs my question and perhaps I mis-unsderstood the fix that people suggested...do I need to flash every time I want to change a theme?

Thanks,

A.

For those who have the MIUI camera working without doing the weird thing that the flash does, did you have to do anything extra to it to work or did it just work fine from the get go? Im using the old camera which is just fine but i was just curious...

I can't remember if mine was doing it earlier or not but I'm pretty sure all you have to do is take the flash off of auto and it will work correctly. Could be wrong though.

Oh ok cool...i can try that and see. Thanks a lot

Yeah, it still does it. I just checked. You can stop it by turning the flash off but if you need the flash then it might be tricky haha

lol ok. i guess i'll just stick to the old one for now. thanks for the info though

is anyone else getting reboots when they try and restore apps in titanium? this is happening to me with a fresh install of 1.1.14.1 right after i log in to my google acct for the first time.

If you restore SYSTEM DATA from a titanium backup you made from ANOTHER ROM THAN MIUI will get reboots....ONLY restore app data and apps. but ONLY if you bypass market sync or cancel all the downloads from the market then run the restore.

What else did you do? stock kernel? restore anything with Titanium backup??

if you restore system data with Titanium Backup from another rom you will get reboots.

If you bypass the setup you also bypass market sync.

If you flashed another kernel sometimes this breaks permissions for the files Theme Manager needs to apply the theme.

i did not restore system data from "ANOTHER ROM THAN MIUI"
i only restored apps sans data

The slayher kernel was my problem. Stock fixed it. Any suggestions on using a faster kernel?

Relax, you are not the only one having difficulties w/ theme manager. I couldn't get it to work yesterday, so I figured I would try and use the online themes, downloaded my theme 2.0 and started it,about halfway through FC. I was then able to restore the default theme without issue. I'm sticking w/ this until the next release.
Nobody is accusing you of anythng, they are just trying to help:)

I've only flashed one theme so far(Meizu) and it loaded up perfectly. I don't know if it being a zip has anything to do with it but I didn't have any problems.

@onsht1kll-If you need one, I'll test it
