Oh, And the T-Mobile tweet. Seems like everyone is either saving money or staying the same. Who's a bully?
What was VZW's reply?

AT&T allows the connected cars, eg ODB hotspots and On star hotspots to have unlimited data.

Geez, so much to comment on.

I do think using as much data as you possibly can....just to use as much as you possibly can...doesn't make you a jerk. But I do think it's strange. Why? Do you think your sticking it to Verizon or something? What's the point of intentionally trying to hit 20? Even if it inconveniences you (like streaming Netflix in your 5 inch screen....sitting on the couch in front of your wifi Roku). I just don't get that.

Sounds like Foxcat trying to talk himself into keeping Unlimited. :)

We already decided after the price increase for UDP last time that we are dropping the wife's UDP. Waiting for the next iPhone at this point. She uses less then 4gb /mo, and has limited text and minutes. Shed use even less if she ever used wifi. It's pointless to keep it now.

I generally hit 16 gb just streaming while driving alone as I stream google play music nearly exclusively, that or 99.9 KISW the best and only rock station in the northwest it seems anymore (like when I'm in Portland damn hipsters)

So using another 4gb isn't too big a deal and on the months I do go WAAAAY over I don't want to chance it.

If they offered unlimited that dropped to 3g after say 10gb, not 2g, I'd probably be all over it.... but if it really does drop you to 2g speeds I might as well get dial-up at home as well could you imagine trying to load ANYTHING from the facebook app using those speeds... ugh.

oh I also have EVERY single on of my apps set to auto update regardless of wifi and wifi is almost always off as I don't want to deal with the battery drain when I'm not at home and forget to turn it off.

Not worrying about data usage, that's how UDP should be used. Like you do.
But people who are all "only 1 more GB to hit 20. I'm going to just to screw Verizon!"
Ya...VZW doesn't give a ****.

Just read this.

But it’s a use-it-or-lose-it proposition. The rollover data disappears after a month if you don’t use it — and to do that, you have to run through your monthly data allotment first

I would be OK with that. Whatever does roll over would be for "fun" stuff like extra streaming music. I figured they would make you use the rollover stuff first, not last. Using it first would make more sense, but what do I know? I can still live with that....if I do switch plans.

This is but 1 of the many price hikes foisted upon the VZW customers. I'm glad I left 2 years ago; I voiced my displeasure with my wallet, not a forum....

This is wonky....Verizon app is drunk!
First pic is current plan...also add in S5 and a note 4 payments.
2nd pic shows my plan after hitting review
3rd pic is new plan

What is the deal with $0 for data?

Had some good success with the new plans at work today. Saved someone who was still on a 700 minute plan almost $60/month by going to the 2gb plan, and another customer I saved $40/month by switching from the More Everything plan to the 4gb new plan, and yet another customer saved $5/month (better play the lottery now with that one lol).
You guys have to remember that users on this forum tend to be bigger data users than the 'average' consumer. These plans are going to benefit A LOT more people than not.

My point exactly. Thank you Jackie for giving us some first hand perspective as seen from front line sales persons who are trying to give their customers the best possible plan of service.

I've seen the Verizon app acting wonky like that. It's not unusual that the app doesn't update correctly. I know that once you attempt to close out the changes or transaction the transaction will fail if it is not an actual pricing that is available.
