What have YOU done with Tasker?

I can't seem to reproduce this with my phone. I don't know what else to do to help you.

Well, I don't know what changed but, I rebooted my phone and now the purple light is working when I test it.

Is there a way to make it so when I click the notification, it takes me to the txt message?

Another Tasker related question, I setup a task to let me change the song being played by clicking the camera button. Having trouble getting it to work.

Context 1:
Music (stock Android Music app)

Context 2:
Camera Button > Priority Normal

Task:
Media Control
CMD - Next
Simulate Media Button - yes

Any thoughts on that one?

Glad the other one is working, Try holding the button a little bit longer. I was having the same issues with that and holding the button a second long allowed it to work.

Crap, that works but holding it is making it launch the Camera too. lol

You mean this?

" Try holding the button a little bit longer"

Because that's launching the camera.

Also, is on the SMS notification, is there a way to make it so that when i click the notification, it takes me to the message?

No I mean this
"EDIT:
I made it a bit better by increasing the camera buttons priority to Highest and also checking Stop Event. This made it happen faster and it stopped the camera app from loading."

I don't know about the notification thing, I can try and look into it tomorrow for you.

Hi, I search for wait at boot SDcard mounted before launching Home (default AcerUI) in order to resolve "not appear SD Apps on Home when it load before SD mounted".

Launchers were not list in Tasker under "App".

Idea ? Sorry for my english...

OK Nebula that Wifi profile is awesome and is working perfectly, connecting and disconnecting. The problem before was just what you said, I was on a tower I hadn't saved yet, all good now.

So if I wanted to add another wifi connection I would just make another "home" and "wifi on" profile using the exact same settings except the SSID and MAC address and obviously scanning for new towers at the location?

Thanks again for all the help!

Hey All....I have been reading a little about what you are doing with Tasker and I am thinking of purchasing...I was curious if there is a list of pre-made tasks that I could use as a template to learn how to use Tasker? Maybe some of the more popular tasks like turning ringer/vibrate on/off based on time/location, turning wifi on based on location/network availability...etc...

I can build from there and start to create my own. Or maybe even a tutorial site would be nice...

Thanks!

anyway to remap the volume keys or the camera key to turn the screen on when its off using tasker?

i already have a task for the camera key when the screen is on, anyway to differentiate when it's off?

If you use two contexts, one the state Screen Off and another with the event Camera Button And change your other camera button task to Screen On and Event Camera Button you should be able to have both with no conflicts.

hmm it doesnt appear you can do that. because both "display on" and "button:camera" are events and you can't have two event contexts in the same profile it seems...

Then use the display on event to set a variable %displaystatus to 1
Then use display off to set it to 0

Then add the variable value state to each camera button event profile
