What kind of car do you drive?

My big, dumb, 12sec, diesel.

That new honda accord 4 dr hatch (CrossTour) really gets my attention. That probably makes me an old fart but the idea of a car designed specifically for road tripping excites me.

2005 Toyota Tundra TRD. A few mods including MagnaFlow dual exhaust, K&N drop in air filter, MB Stryker wheels, and Westin step bars. I absolutely love this truck! 112,800 miles; it runs like new, and requires little maintenance.

Cause it's a Toyota! Try doing that with an American truck or an American car in general lol. I love Toyotas. My dad has an 01 Toyota Avalon and it's an absolute animal. Never left him on the road it's so dependable that I swear by it. Never cost any money to fix since he got it.

I've got a couple buddys with 250k+ miles on their F150s trouble free. All they di is regular scheduled maintenance. And these are not babied either they are work trucks.
The Avalon may be an animal but its ugly as all get out. Maybe if Toyota would put some style in their designs instead of making appliances there'd be something there.
As it stands these days the almighty Japanese quality superiority is a myth. They have the same issues as every other manufacturer.

Japanese quality superiority is not a myth. I've been in F150s the same year as my truck, with less miles, and babied probably more than my truck has been, and everything rattles. The dash, door panels, everything. And how about the awesome squeaky Ford suspension? I'm running my stock Toyota/Bilstein shocks, with no squeaks or anything. My dash has no cracks and no rattles (except for when in reverse, but that's because of the MagnaFlows and the low rumble they make in reverse).

As for Toyota not having any style... well there are a few models that are meh, but for the most part the newer Toyotas are looking pretty good. At least they're not producing hideous crap like Nissan... My neighbor got a Juke. That has to be the UGLIEST vehicle I've ever seen.

Oh, one more thing. My truck is not foreign. It was made right here in the USA.

Almost every Japanese car manufacturer has models made in America.

Also, I have had many Japanese cars and none of them have had any more than regular maintenance. My 240sx was at 170k+ miles on the stock suspension, transmission, engine and clutch. Few 90's American cars could say the same. My first car (Skylark) blew its tranny in 72k miles. My Tracer (aka Mazda 323) was at 200k before the gas tank rotted (salt in the NE). FYI my 240sx is still with the guy I sold it to. 250k+ now. Exhaust and clutch have been replaced. ;)
