What kind of car do you drive?

I've got a couple buddys with 250k+ miles on their F150s trouble free. All they di is regular scheduled maintenance. And these are not babied either they are work trucks.
The Avalon may be an animal but its ugly as all get out. Maybe if Toyota would put some style in their designs instead of making appliances there'd be something there.
As it stands these days the almighty Japanese quality superiority is a myth. They have the same issues as every other manufacturer.

I like american cars, I want one and have an infiniti g37. But when it comes to quality they're far behind. And no Avalon is not ugly at all. It grows on you, it's a car made for older people anyway not for people that care about the looks of the car.

My friend had a 2006 Pontiac gto and he blew his engine and differentials all before 10,000 miles. Granted he drove it hard but he's had a couple BMWs after (and we know how reliable those are lol) and those problems didn't exist.

I wouldn't go so far as to call American cars qualify either. For example look at the new mustang, as much as I want that car and even though I might still get it next I am dreading having to look at that ugly dashboard.

Probably diesel. Diesel trucks/cars tend to live a lot longer.

the interior of a 12 or 13 mustang isn't horrible if u get it with navigation

its a must have option with every car I've owned as well as a sunroof... just improves the interior so much over base

My g37 doesn't have navigation cause I didn't want it and looks wise it would make absolutely no difference. I still have the screen since it's also used for music.

The thing that bothers me about the mustang interior is that it looks so typically cheap american. Every single american car uses that same light blue, same cheap plastic knobs. The only thing I like is the manual shifter look, and the speedometer is somewhat appealing.

I know it would be a difficult transition though to go from the interior of my car to an american one.

There's nothing like European cars.

2008 Nissan Armada here. It came down between a Tahoe, Expedition and the Armada. Nissan won out by far.

although I like the style of the Tahoe I would've went w the armada as well.. awesome truck... my parents pathfinder has 170k+ miles on it and hardly any problems... I'm thinking of an suv for my next vehicle since I don't need a roomy one a cayenne would fit nice :)

We had a ford f350 dualie on the farm, hit 750k miles before it died...not sure what it was at when we got rid of it but if we rebuilt the engine it probably woulda run another 750k

But you have a Japanese car 0.o

Looks are subjective....I love the interior on my 05 Mustang and really like the new interiors. But to each their own...

I have a Japanese car because I'm leasing it and I got the most amazing deal you can ever get for a car that costs 45k lol. And I truly do love this. Its sporty, luxury, beautiful. Its everything. Just to compare a v6 mustang would have cost me twice as much a month because the lease deals were terrible.

My dream car that I might be able to afford soon is an Audi s4 though!
