Who is waiting for the OTA ICS??

Fix the install issues that some phones are having. The RAZR went through this and they don't want a repeat performance with the bionic.

I disgree about Motorola being good. I had nothing but problems with the DroidX2 and the Droid Bionic. I like the idea of thr Droids however, I think Motorola dropped the ball.

I kept losing connections on both phones, my phone's apps would freeze. I always had to do soft resets, hard resets and factory resets on both phones. At first, I blamed Verizon but now I believe it is Motorola who sucks.

I'm not happy with Verizon about some things but the manufacturer of Droids needs to be punched in the nose.

What phone are you using nowand has it solved your issues? Sometimes its the area, sometimes its the firmware and sometimes its the user...

You know there has to be a point at which it costs more for motorola to investigate the issue then it does for them to actually deal with support calls for the issue. And I know everyone thinking oh well they're just going to drop it because it cost to much at this point, but they have already invested so much money into developing the ics update for the bionic that they won't just drop it. I mean they're paying developers at their company a butt load of money to spend time to work on the OTA. I feel that would rather release it then lose business over people being upset that they didn't get it what was promised

But if it happens on their other phones they want it fixed. ;) Cause they unified ICS builds across all the devices for a reason. It'll make updating in the future MUCH easier. Recompile for each device the same source code and you're done. Cough JB cough. ;) So they wanna fix it. And Bionic is what's next on the list for an update.

Quick question........If I decide to go with 232 or 235 this weekend, do I just download the leak and flash it since I am already rooted with Motofail? I have not done any leaks yet. I have only rooted my Bionic. I had frozen some apps, but I unfroze all of them yesterday. Thanks.

Yes but I'd caution you about flashing 235. It's a one way street in that you can never go back to 905. Big deal right? Well, it is because the ics updates require you to be on 905 to install. With 232 this is no big deal. But 235 upped the security so you can't downgrade. That means we have to use a little dark magic to get us to the next build which will hopefully be the ota build. It's not hard but makes it slightly more risky. And you'll have to wait for someone to get you what you need in order to be able to flash it. My SamuriHL_HouseOfBionic script will support it as will mattigroff's unstuck script. But they will have to be updated when a new build comes out. I would stick with 232. And if you have problems installing it, my HoB script can do it for you with no data loss.

As always, thank you for your help. I'll stick to 232. I am just tired of the data drops on GB since I also use my phone as my wifi hotspot

In my case, if you remember, I installed .235 specifically so I wasn't even TEMPTED to go back to GB ever again LOL

ROFL! Well, we'll need to "downgrade temporarily" once the OTA or next build comes out. At least enough to allow the update install. Fortunately we can do that. :)

Am I a dedicated phone geek if I actually look forward to the next leak just so I can try the HoB routine? I am actually excited to see it in action.

Say I installed. 232. If I was happy with it, couldn't I just stay on it indefinitely and not worry about the official OTA?

You could. But, once the OTA is out for ICS, I see no reason why you'd want to. 235 is already much better than 232 for stability and battery life. Whatever the OTA ends up being (235 or higher) will be an improvement. What would the benefit be of staying on 232? Being able to FXZ to 905? Why? GB does nothing better than ICS. Worried about a lack of ICS FXZ? We'll get one most likely. It'll take 6-8 weeks, but, we'll likely get one. No real benefit I can see to staying on 232 once the OTA build is released.
