Who is waiting for the OTA ICS??

The reason why i wait.......
1) i have hundreds of photos of my lil girl on my bionic that are priceless
2) phone numbers ( i do not answer numbers with out name)
3) i might brick my phone
4) i know not what i do and will probably screw it up
5) cindy's 5 year old has a better understanding of how to root a phone
6) im LAZY and do not have 9hrs to fix a problem
7) my last phone was a palm pre (junk) so operating systems are new to me
8) even if it's September that is not far off
9) did I mention I'm lazy
10) i can wait and pray i'll be in the soak test

Be careful my phone deleted all of my photos twice, so a started having them backup to my google+ account haven't had a problem since.

1) Please tell me you have a backup OFF the phone of those somewhere??????
2) Should be part of your google contacts in theory
3) You might, but, I've yet to see someone permanently bricked. Even me.
4) Fair enough. Can't help you on that one and that's a good reason to leave it alone. :)
5) Reading will fix that
6) So am I...which is why I wrote House of Bionic as I didn't want to reset up my phone every time we get a new leak :D
7) Welcome to the 21st century! :D HEHEHE
8) True enough
9) Me too
10) You can pray but if you didn't sign up you won't be part of the official soak. You might get lucky and be part of the few hundred public users that seem to get the soak pushed to them that aren't part of the official soak program

You really should have those pictures somewhere besides your phone. Watch the first episode of Touch to see why. It'd be heartbreaking to lose unique pictures like that.

You can use Google Plus, and select instant upload(they will send a lower resolution photo up). Another way is to get your google drive and just drag them all over. Another is join Dropbox and select camera upload and send old pictures up. Than add your drop box or google drive to your desktop and and copy all the photos to your big machine.

I flashed to 232 and 235. Neither time did i lose any pics nor did i brick my phone. If you follows samuris instructions carefully neither of those things will happen to you. Its quite simple actually.

My instructions clearly say to backup your data before touching your phone for a reason. ;)

The longer I wait for the ota, the more tempted I get to install. 232

This is starting to get ridiculous

Just pull the trigger already! I went back to 905 last night to make sure that the lapdock i bought was broken, it is. And i could not take 905 for any more than an hour. Data was fine and so was everything else, but, ics is just....better. back on 232, rooted. Loving it so much.

Exactly! At first, I was going to try and wait out the ota. Then I started seeing all these posts about the leaks and how good they were and all these ICS advantages over GB. I couldn't help it, and I pulled the trigger too. I am so glad that I did too! And it really is just...better. It's buttery smooth, quite a bit faster (data speeds, internet connectivity, etc.), I've had no problems w/webtop or any other application; it's just really been great so far. I'll never be a GB user again.
