Is the camera functional? Want to upload a pic to see the quality?

I just took a picture and a movie of my cat. I will post them on the first Page, first post of this thread in a few minutes (Hopefully).

Wow, disappointed with the video and photo quality - I expected more....

1) I am not a photographer and the light was poor.

2) YouTube compressed the video quality... the raw video looks a lot better.

I actually thought the video looked very good, especially given that it was in 480p for Youtube.

I am going to upload one more photo (MUCH better IMO) and I didn't realize that when I recorded the Video, it was in "Widescreen" Standard Def mode... I recorded a new video in HD 720p that I am uploading and will link to.

Those are default settings probably, everyone knows HTC phones never are great with default settings on the camera.

Not to scare you but i would think it would be best to not take a picture of your cat, it has the address right on the collar

Old buddy old pal, could you tell us how the 8gb internal space is mapped?

How much is device storage and how much for media? Droid X has all internal as app storage and some devices like the Incredible have 768mb device app space and 6.6gb as media space.

Not to sound NOOBISH, but is there an easy way to see this mapping? (I've only owned one Android phone, and it was a Motorola phone, so I am not as familiar with how HTC/Sense does certain things yet.)

Go into settings/storage and you should see how the storage is mapped

Should be info on sd card, media and internal device space. Or if like Droid X, the internal space will be all device storage. Thanks!

OK, keep in mind that I put my 16GB SD card from my Droid X into this phone (so I could keep all my pictures, music, etc.), it says "Internal phone storage - Available Space: 1.96GB"

Just my thanks for your info I don't think you want VZ or some crazy Tbolt fan knocking at your door or someone trying to do something...

I appreciate the info on the phone, it answered most of my questions, but it also opened up more reason for me to switch sadly... I wish Verizon wasn't allowed to remove stuff that manufacturers put on there phones, they DON'T make the device, they shouldn't be allowed to control it, they only provide the services for it.
