YEAH baby! My Demo will be here today!

When using a widget like Circle Battery Widget, does the phone report in 1% increments? My Droid 2 doesn't and I believe it is only a Moto thing, but I would hate to not have that on my ThunderBolt.

Thanks JB

Did you attempt to test Skype video over 3G or through your WiFi? I have a feeling that Skype doesn't work in a 3G area, but when connected to the WiFi network, it may work.

Both actually... first I tried the 3G and then remembered that Skype likes WiFi, so I connected to my home access point and rebooted Skype, tried again and it still did not do video. I suppose the only possibility at this point is that it would work on 4G/LTE, but I would think if that's the case, it would also work over WiFi.

Just another one of the internet strangers that wanted to say thanks for sharing this info with us! Just one question, even though you do not live in a LTE area I assume that the 3g/4g is/will be auto switching. But does there look to be an on/off widget?

It appears to me it will Auto-Switch (just as it does between 3G and 1X/roaming). I went into the Settings>Wireless & Networks, and under the Mobile Network preferences, there are only toggles for Data Roaming, Data Roaming Sound and Enable Always-on mobile data. There is also a "System Select" that says "Automatic" or "Home" as choices.

There is a "Data Dashboard" widget, but nothing about 3G/4G.

Confirmed. I installed Circle Battery Widget and saw it reduce by a single percentage point. (That's a nifty little app, BTW)

Just another thing I realized last night and today... the placement of the USB port on the phone is not ideal. It is on the left side of the phone, so when you pop out the kickstand and want to charge it with a standard USB cable, you can't put the phone in Landscape mode. (I charged it on my nightstand last night in Portrait mode.)

I am hoping that this was done so that you can use some sort of docking station, but I thought that if someone didn't want to get the Dock and just use the kickstand, it's going to present issues. About the only thing I can think of would be to purchase an angeled USB cable or adapter.

One thing I will not be able to review is the LTE 4G connection... I live in the Syracuse, NY area and don't have plans to go to Rochester or NYC anytime soon (which are the two closest cities with LTE).

From what I have been told Syracuse should get 4G LTE by EOY, early 2012 at the latest. This is from the engineers I know inside VZW.

Oh wow. Didn't expect it to be that big...was expecting it to be around the same size thickness as the EVO. That thing is a beast...better start looking for leather belt cases.

Thats why I am holding off on a case because of the beefiness of the phone

My original assessment of it being the same thickness as the camera bump on my Droid X is spot on... obviously it tapers down a bit on the edges, but overall thickness is there. Unless you need a belt clip, I would say either no case, or a slim silicone cover. Just my $.02

I won a gift card for Invisible shield at Limitless Droid last month so I ordered the fully body kit for the TB, should be here by the time the phone launches, well it will be here next week, not sure if the phone will be though.

I won't be using the screen part from Invisible shield, I like SGP Steinheil Screen protectors more. Invisible shield will wear like iron and protect the body so no case or just a thin slip pouch style for me.

wow it's cold up there in Syracuse today - i agree with you...what's the point of a pic (there's plenty of those out there to be found now). I say leave you alone so you can play with the phone more

In Syracuse, we get 6 months of construction, 6 months of winter, and if we are lucky we get the occassional sunny day here. Still love the northeast, but this winter has been friggin cold with LOTS of SNOW.

Are the SGPs polarized?

At least TRY to stay on topic :D

Glad to see the mobile hotspot is on it since there were many rumors (and the Best Buy ad correction in store) stating it wouldn't make it to the phone. Skype functionality isn't much of a problem (Skype was supposed to be updated Feb 28th... I wonder what came of that?) just a simple update after the phone comes out. Netflix functionality was kind of a false hope since the only phone playing it at MWC was a modded Snapdragon.

Sounds like a great phone to me. I'm all set for release then. Bring it on!
