Hey Johnboy, Had to register just to say thanks for all your info.
In regards to Swype- I have the Beta on my Incredible- I find that EVERY time I turn off my phone I have to reenable swype ( or it dosn't Swype) Just long press in a text box- enable htc keyboard. Then again long press and enable Swype again- works every time for me, so dont have to reinstall. Will work fine as long as my phone doesn't get turned off again. Try that and see if it works on the Bolt that way

Yup, I have found that to be the same. Annoying, but SWYPE is superior to SlideIT IMO, so it's worth the P.I.T.A.

It actually performed about the same as it did Friday at work... at 9 hours, it was at about 30% power left.

so when do u have to give it back... I know a release date is unknow but it would make sense that when you are done "testing" it that it wouldn;t be long before the rest of us can get our hands on it. From your posts it seems like it is ready to hit the market. I can live with out skype, and if 4g really works then sign me up...

Google Maps Navigation is on the phone... in fact, I wasn't aware that an Android phone would not come with that app/feature.

The even better news is that you will continue to get turn-by-turn directions even if you get a phone call too!

I believe I have at least 30 days with the phone. To me, it seems ready, LTE issues aside (which I have not tested). I don't think Skype is a make or break as that is seemingly not Verizon or HTC's issue considering no other phone has video Skype capabilities.

Everything I have read that you have posted leads me to believe the phone is ready..... I had the Dinc battery sounds same if not better, no worrries about LTE to many WFI connections. Love the storage out of the box..... So what do you think the delay is???? :unsure:

30 days huh? I sure hope I can get the phone before this time next month. Have you used the slingbox app yet with the thunderbolt? I can't remember if you did.

I compared a dummy model TB with a VZW Rep's X and the TB is thicker than the X. The TB is about the same thickness as the camera portion of the X.

JB, Don't they usually recall the demos before they release the phones? Your 1st post was 3/2/2011 but your "..Note" is dated 2/7/2011. If it's 30 days from 3/2 looks as though the 3/7/2011 is not possible?
