YEAH baby! My Demo will be here today!

Any one know if there will be a Cradle for the Thunderbolt. One that will charge two batterys at the same time?? The Incredble has onelike that.:blackdroid::);)

The preproduction version was already rooted very quickly over at xda. Production version should also be edited quite fast as well.

The phone has not yet been released and therefore, there are no "official" accessories for the phone yet. If you do a Google and/or eBay search, I am sure there are plenty of aftermarket accessories available.

I am hoping for a HTC brand car and/or home dock for it... I use both of the docks for my DX every day.

so when do u have to give it back... I know a release date is unknow but it would make sense that when you are done "testing" it that it wouldn;t be long before the rest of us can get our hands on it. From your posts it seems like it is ready to hit the market. I can live with out skype, and if 4g really works then sign me up...

I believe I have at least 30 days with the phone. To me, it seems ready, LTE issues aside (which I have not tested). I don't think Skype is a make or break as that is seemingly not Verizon or HTC's issue considering no other phone has video Skype capabilities.

I think the only problem with that is they advertised it with Skype capabilities from launch, so if it doesn't have it they'd be guilty of false advertising. I personally don't care if it's not there at launch, but needs an update soon after launch would be fine with me.

Verizon has accessories for the phone already. That's another reason people are confused why the phone isn't out yet. I got a phone charger for my home and car set aside for me. All I need is the phone and I am good to go. They might be universial and not say thunderbolt on them but they match up with the ports on the phone.

How does Pandora sound with regular headphones you'd risk using while working or jogging, compared to mp3s/wavs or whatever higher quality sounding music that was saved to your TB? Also have you tried any games, I guess other than Pet Society which doesn't work and how that compares to the Droid X?

That's really more of a question about Pandora vs. MP3 files than it is about the TBolt. The quality of the sound through the headphones/earbuds all depends on your headphone/earbud quality. Obviously, streaming audio via Pandora isn't going to sound nearly as good as a 192 bitrated MP3 file.

I have tried only Angry Birds and the Let's Golf Game Demo that came with the TBolt. Both perform just fine, though I don't think they are too intensive. The load times seem a bit shorter with the TBolt in general.

Hmm ok guess so. When you put it on the loudest volumes do you find it is pleasant sounding still with Mp3s, Pandora, or does it hurt your ears a bit? True. I wished Pandora had an even higher quality setting. Hmm shorter load times than the DX, but no lag during game play then?

Since you don't have Slingbox (great device/app btw), have you gotten a chance to try to play videos on it and see how it compares to the Droid X? I really love video playback on the Droid X, very nice with the larger screen size and quality of the screen. While a lot of people seem to like LED and OMLED it really bothers my eyes. So I'm really liking that there are still LCD screens like these that haven't gone that route.

That is not true to my knowledge. They announced at CES the Thunderbolt and Skype video idependently, but never said blatantly "the Thunderbolt will have video Skype at launch." They did show a slide on the big screen of the TBolt using Skype, but never said anything about shipping with Skype video.

Uhh, no it doesn't work like that... Micro USB phone/home chargers are "universal" accessories so that any phone with a Micro USB port on it can be charged with your accessories. (Blackberrys, Androids, Windows 7, etc.)

Go to verizonwireless.com, click on "Accessories" and when that page appears click 'Choose Phone' in the upper left. Try and find the Thunderbolt. When the phone appears there, then you can say that they are officially selling Thunderbolt accessories.

When listening to my MP3s, I have to turn it down to about 50% volume to be comfortable to me, so there is a nice wide range on the volume. To me, Pandora at about 75% sounds good, so there is still wiggle room even with the less high quality sound.

None that I have seen so far.

I've never needed to watch stuff when away from home... usually if I am not home to watch it, I am too busy doing something else! :)

As far as the screen and video quality, I spoke about it earlier in this thread. I too, hate AMOLED screens. (Way too much oversaturation in the colors, makes all people look like they have hit the tanning beds more than the Jersey Shore cast.) I can't quite explain it properly in words, but to me, the TBolt's screen "pops" a bit more than the DX's screen. It's crisp, yet smooth. I guess a good metaphor for it would be like the difference between a 42" LCD 120Hz 1080p TV and a 42" LED-LCD 240Hz 1080p TV... not an enormous difference to the naked eye, but just a bit better.

The car mount is VERY important and would be the deal breaker for me.. I use it as my GPS, and without the window mount its pretty much useless..

I was 100% sure I wanted the BIONIC, but I'm very pleased with what I've have been reading and watching in regards to the Tbolt.. Impressed indeed! Thishttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6szkDakwGM&feature=related"] video is about the BIONIC, and seemed very sluggish and slow in loading. Don't what that's about... The HTC TBolt, is much more responsive. I'm sure the OP can share some insight on this too...

WorldOfJohnboy:

Just wanted to say you've done a valuable service to the Android community with this thread and I appreciate it, even as somebody who is not really interested in this phone.

Having said that, can you do one small favor? Can you point your phone's browser to the Rightware Browsermark website and run the benchmark. Maybe reboot the phone, run it 2-3 times and report your results. You can also try the Sunspider Javascript benchmark.

I would very much appreciate it, and it shouldn't take much of your time. I searched the thread and found nothing, and I did a google search to see if thre was a rightware benchmark for this phone and came up with nothing.

Thanks,

Brandon

It wouldn't surprise me if MotoBlur had something to do with it.
