Is there any way you can download the 2.1 update off of the web like you could the 2.0.1 update back in the day?

I think one of the hackers has to get their hand on the actualy update before they will be able to figure out how to tell us to do that. At least that is how it happened last time.

Off topic but related: I hate the last google maps update, I liked having the circle when stationary, now they made it an arrow all the time because lemmings couldn't figure which way they were pointed.

I know we'll all have it before Sat because someone will get the update.zip to the boards.

Everybody can get the the Google Maps update. Has nothing to do with 2.1.

I just hope everyone realizes that this is not going to happen for everybody today. It will be about a week long process, maybe longer considering how many Droids there are now.

I did go back to stock and I have to say that I haven't missed the rooted Droid that much. My battery is lasting much longer and it hasn't heated up even one time.

Go into your Labs settings, you may have enabled something

Not the answer. The "triangle" instead of the circle is standard in the new google map update.
