5.5.5.893 FXZ .901/.902 compatible and.902 update

???... So you attach an Eclipse 2.1 ROM'd Bionic and run this FXZ from this thread and it'll retain all aspects of Eclipse other than what's being flashed via the system.img??
really??...

one question....so why are you at the Android welcome screen then?
I sent you a PM, so we don't clutter this thread. But like I said I have never ran this fxz, so I wouldn't know. But the original 866 fxz has a userdata image that preserves your data. If the 893 fxz does not contain the userdate image it may delete your data. Have you ran the OP fix and is your data gone?

You seem to be mixing up all the img files with one another thinking one is named differently ...flash emstorage is not the same as flash userdata.img... you didn't notice that both of those XMLs has erase userdata?...all the .886 XML was telling you was that there were some userdata that the FXZ was flashing while it was not necessary in the .893 OTA.
I'd find it hard to believe it is otherwise...So what did you do to edit the .893 XML?
I just got rid of erase userdata an that fixed the loss of personal data the phone really did not function properly when i removed the emstorage from the xml i assumed it was there to replace the userdata img file i may be wrong

I'm downloading yours now... If you have info then I think open forum is a good place to help users understand what they're seeing....some like to see what things do... helps mis-information be correct4ed as well.

Did you delete both erase emstorage and flash emstorage commands in the XML?

Good point. In my xml I added the erase userdata and edited out the cdt flash. I use the edited xml to flash the 893 fxz as well.
